Glad I'm not the only one. Those guys were freaky...but I think what really did it for me was when they fell into the desert and turned to sand. I refused to watch that movie for a long time after that.
The eal part in Super Mario 64. The shark that escaped it's aquarium in Resident evil, The movie Jaws & the nes game, The movie It scared the living cap out of me. Big spiders. Finally this one's stupid. Castlevania bloodlines for sega. Bought the game new played it once & haven't touched it since
Ghostface from Scream scared me for the longest time. I didn't like being near windows or doors at night. Easy to not be scared now with all the comedy that went over my childhood head in those movies. They're some of my favorite horror movies ever now.
Lots of horror movie covers at video stores too... Child's Play and Dead Alive stick out. Also the friggin' clown from Poltergeist.
sometimes i will still take off running (sprint for 15 yards and turn around) outside at night, in the dark because of that creeping feeling in your back when you think there is a demon/something bad behind you.
it kinda like that scoot run you did when your trying to avoid the paddle as a kid.
The Boogieman from The Real Ghostbusters...i was a very little kid when watched that episode and was scared of closet and whats under my bed until like age of 12 or so. I would sleep under my blanket without taking my arms out, i would sweat but wouldn't dare to pull out my legs.

The troll at the end of the movie Cat's Eye used to terrify me as a kid. I watched it a few months back and it laughable now.
Yep. That story freaked me out when I was younger. The thought of a little creature coming into your room while you sleep. Yeesh!
the wheelers from return to Oz.

The Large Marge scene in Pee Wee's Big Adventure.
My sister almost jumped through the ceiling when that scene happened. Great jump scare.
The "scary old lady" reveal from the original House On Haunted Hill had a similar effect.
