Few years back my parents bought me earthbound for snes as a high school graduation gift. So Id have a hard time selling that one. But everything else is expendable.
So - and I don't mean to pick on just you here, this is more of a general observation - if someone offered you one million dollars for your childhood copy of Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt, you'd tell them to take a hike?

are you making me an offer?
Nah, you're right. I'd take the million. But it would never happen
This might sound nuts but my Sony Trinitron TV is the most irreplaceable item in my collection. I love the way my games look on that TV and even the sound it makes when I turn it on. I'm afraid every time I fire it up that it'll be the last time.

Not nuts at all. Now that you mention it, i feel the same about the two PVM's i have. I went through 3 CRT tv's and 3 PVM's all with horrible geometry and issues that i had to ask for help just to get into my house. I finally have a good setup and PVM's with perfect screens and it was not easy to get here. I wouldn't get rid of them for sure, so good point.
I resently mentioned this but for me it's a Sega Saturn promo VHS tape, and as a kid I never owned a Saturn.
My reason was that I was a serious gamer as a kid but in college I was an idiot and sold everything.
That VHS tape is, to my knowledge, the last and only piece of gaming memorabilia that I own from my childhood. It's a pretty rare tape and would be hard to replace, even though it's probably worth no more than $25. Regardless, I wouldn't take $1,000 for it and even is someone really did offer me $25,000, I just couldn't let it go.
Of course, if you started offering prices high enough to pay for my young children's education, grudgingly, I'd be ablidged to sell. There is not price for me, personally, that I'd want to sell at. Regardless, there does seem to be a point where it seems a little short sighted and negligent to not consider the good that could come of letting go, taking the money and putting it to proper use.
Anything is for sale for a certain price. Youd really turn down a billion dollars for yoir childhood game? Im calling bullshit. Bunch of silly nonsense in this thread.
My sealed SNES controller, sealed LoZ 2, my handhelds from when I was a kid (along with the games I had for them), and my NFR Mario Party 3 with a N64 kiosk arm. Probably be the closest I ever get to owning an actual kiosk because my luck is shitty, those things are hard to find in the wild and I'm surrounded by resellers and other collectors.

Because people offer billions for commons.
Every fucking post you make is 'silly nonsense'
What part of "not for sale at any price" did you not understand?
My childhood copy of mario 3. It's the only game from the original collection I have.
Hold onto it. That is precious.
You know, if you don't mind.... why did you get rid of your childhood games? Your current collection is kind of prolific. Why did you get rid of your games initially?

Yea, pretty much. If the sky is the limit, I would have no problem selling every game-related item I own.

Actually... this:
I think the question should be more 'what wouldn't you sell for (pick a value or a multiple of FMV). Because for a billion we'd all sell out.
This is true. I'd sell it all for a billion dollars.
Then buy it all back for a fraction of that... and jump into my pool of money because I'd be rich.
Everything has a price
This. Sadly.
Everything has a price
Jinx!!
