Replacing NES Cartridge Screws
Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone ever had to replace some scews on their carts. And if so, where did you get your screws. I have some 5 screw carts with screws that have started to rust and I want to replace them before the rust wrecks the game.
Thanks!
Sorry if this has shown up before. I searched for the topic and didn't find it.

I don't see a rusty screw ever wrecking the game. Its more visual than anything. You may be able to clean the screw off and just clean it and use. How bad is the rust? Pics please.
The problem is one day when you decide to clean the board and you need to open the casing, if the screw is rusted too bad it will strip and then you're screwed. Pun intended
I'm speaking from experience. I have an SMB2 NES cart that I can't open anymore.
I'll try to get some pics of the current screws, probably when I replaced them. The scary part is, because they've started to rust, the screw heads warped when I removed them to try and clean the rust out.
captmorgandrinker, it looks like all 5 need to be replaced based on the warping that has happened. I'm in the US. PM me if you were able to find the extra screws, please.
Thanks for all the help everyone. This was my first thread, you guys are awesome!
@Vanzant, thanks for the tip!
I meant to say use a Q-tip dipped in alcohol! Never use water. This won't always work, If even one screw isn't gonna come out it's best to leave it alone.
The place we have in so cal is called Orvac Electronics.
