MERCARI as a Way to Buy and Sell Retro

I stumbled into Mercari as a curiosity killed the cat and chasing the $10.00 off first purchase coupon.

But there seems to be plenty of NES stuff to go round and at decent I said decent prices what do you guys think?

  • Judging from this thread being over a week old with no replies yet I'm guessing its not too popular or just still relatively unknown?

I recently heard about Mercari as well and started doing my regular searches on it.  From what I can see so far it doesn't seem to have any better deals than my other usual places.  Prices seem in line with what I see on OfferUp, LetGo, Ebay, etc.  So you still need to get lucky with a newly posted deal from someone who mispriced their item.  Does seem nice for the buyer side though, since they hold the payment until you receive your item and it all checks out then they release payment to the seller.

I'll probably continue to check it from time to time, but I don't think I'll be able to take advantage of the $10 off your first purpose within 48 hours thing, unless I get lucky and find something good.
  • I snagged two NES Controllers for 15 and free shipping which translated to 5.00 only as I used the intro coupon. Then after ghe forst purchase they give you another of 5.00 off a 15 dollar item, which I used to buy a Four Score. So for 15 dollars I bought two NES Controllers (nice and very white) and a great condition Four Score
