Bent New 3DS Kisekae/Cover Plates - Possible to straighten out?

I got some used new 3DS coverplates that were bent, possibly from improper storage. Is it possible to straighten them out again? They still fit in, but I'd rather they be in proper formation.



Perhaps using hot water will allow them to straighten out, sort of like with action figure parts?

    Pics would be helpful, but yes I imagine the application of heat will greatly aid you in straightening them out.
