I've gotta weigh in. I love fast food. I have a lot of opinions here.
Arbys... regular old roast beef sandwich is almost always a win. I think the fries are over rated though.
Wendys... pretty much stands as my all time favorite, going back in the day. Spicy Chicken Sandwich and fries. Probably my favorite fries when fresh and not overdone.
Chik-Fil-A... overrated.
Raising Canes... Not everywhere yet, but getting there. In my opinion, about a thousand times better than Chik-Fil-A. Always fresh, always delicious. Also, better eaten in the dine in area than brought home, since it gets a bit steamy in the box.
Burger King... meh. Loved it as a kid, not so much anymore. The old nuggets were bad, might try the new spicy ones. Nothing else stands out to me. Actually, I take that back, their Crossainwich is my favorite fast food breakfast.
McDonalds... it's fine. I played it out, ate it too much. McChickens and fries are pretty amazing after a night of drinking though.
As far as a burger, I also have to go with...
Five Guys. In my opinion probably the best fast food burger, and the cajun fries are the best compliment to a burger I can think of.

I tried them over lunch today and honestly, not too bad! Better quality than I expected, as a former employee that worked at BK back in the 99cent chicken finger/popper days.

My favourite fast food restaurant has to be KFC, but there are none in Switzerland
Luckily they are everywhere in the Czech Republic and when I go visit my family there I eat KFC rather often. Other than that I usually eat at McD's or Burger King when I want to eat some fast food.
RE: Five Guys, oh yes, those are some good burgers! Unfortunately I've not managed to go in over 3 years. When we found out my son has a severe peanut allergy, we as a family decided to stay away from resteraunts that have peanuts out in the open and freelt accessible.
Kind of weird, but I can't remember the last time I went to McFleas. Barfby's Taco Smell, etc... . Fast food on the left coast seems to have morphed into cheap ethnic food; Cafe Rio or Chipotle (Healthy Mexican), any Vietnamese Deli (for Banh Mi's or Pho), Caribbean (smoke pork/chicken sandwiches), Indian (Dosa or Thali), or any of the gazillion Hawaiian/Teriyaki joints around. All are mostly cheaper, tastier, offer a quick meal/takeout, and are generally healthier than traditional fast food choices.
For myself, a $3 grilled pork Banh Mi with freshly sliced jalapenos wins hands down over a $6 pink slime slab. And since we also "eat with out eyes", a $5, two foot long Dosa filled with curried potato's garners my attention over a box of pre-formed "boots" with "red bits".
And because it hasn't been said yet, In-n-Out beats Shake Shack hands down!

I haven't tried these yet but I miss when they had the Spicy McChickens at McDonalds. Yeah I know you can order buffalo sauce and put it on a regular McChicken but it doesn't taste the same! In terms of other chain spicy goodness, Popeyes is still amazing when you have some biscuits, sides, and sauces to go with. I always picture Adam Sandler in Little Nicky munching on Popeyes. One of his most under rated, hilarious movies.
