I make a funny and all of a sudden you want a lock countdown? How dare you not have a sense of humor!
Oh I don't want a lockdown (I never do, I wish FieryReign's thread was still active!), I just read through the thread and saw the poor lad dangling by his ankles in his underwear covered in toilet paper, and figured it was inevitable.

Start flipping all kinds of stuff for a profit and use the money to buy the rare stuff you are wanting. Also what I do is I hang onto any rare or expensive stuff I find that I don't collect and use it for good trade bait. Hell most of my rare and/or expensive pieces were found in the wild or traded for.
Is there more info on this? Is this just pics of a possible gambling prototype then for the NES?
It's sort of a prototype software cartridge (and modem) for a lottery system run through an NES. The cart obviously existed, but no one knows where it ended up. I've seen bounties offered and rumors of where it could be, but so far nothing has made it appear. Socks the Cat, Airball, the AGCI Wally Bear have turned up, but not this one.
Probably whoring yourself out. I heard craigslist has lots of untapped opportunity. You arent serious about collecting unless you have atleast 4-5 different STDs for the sake of your collection
Unlike what people say here, getting rare games cheap is easy.
The hard part is getting rare games cheap that are also in demand, like most rare console games in the US. If you want cheap rare stuff, collect oddball things, like the Mega Duck.

Ok then I guess I'm officially very serious about collecting.
Or get 3 jobs! That's apparently the current standard for online forum pissing contests.
I don't know how that was supposed to be something to brag about. Either you're working mostly part time (fair enough, but hardly anything that puts you above one fulltime job), or you're suffering from Karōshi.

same here. I had a reply in that thread typed out and just let it go. I kind of didn't want to know. My gut instinct was three part-time or otherwise underpaying jobs, which would not be something to brag about in that context...
I've been looking for rare games for cheep, I'm just wondering whats the best way to do that.
You're about 12 years too late unfortunatly, rare games dont show at all anymore. im lucky if i can find retro game at all at the thrift stores and yard sales.
There is no such thing as a rare game. Only expensive.
This comment is almost as dumb as this topic
This is the truest comment in this thread. The minimum print run for any retail licensed game was around 10,000 so there are well over 10,000 Little Samsons out there, the game definitely isn't rare in any way.
I do have a comment relative to the topic question though, there is an easy way to get uncommon games for cheap.......buy them for their current price before people realize how uncommon they are. Here is a small list of NES games that should be over $100 due to how uncommon they are, yet people aren't really looking for them because they don't yet realize they're uncommon:
- Bases Loaded 4
- Goal 2
- Pro Sport Hockey
- Casino Kid II
- Last Action Hero
- Namco Pac-Man
- Alfred Chicken
There are more but I won't ruin them all. There are still games under the radar, you just have to know the industry well enough to figure out what they are.

Most of these are sports games or absolute shit, save for Pac-Man and Alfred Chicken (and the former is a re-release). They are rare, yes, but the only people that are likely to buy these are collectors.
The only one of these that is likely to go up in price is Alfred Chicken since it's a hidden gem pretty solid game IMO

Also, this cart:
It existed at one time, but no amount of money has brought it out (and not for lack of trying, either.)
This is one of those few unobtainable things I would absolutely love to have...

Or, Get a real fucking job, something that seems to be lost on people nowadays.
Stop trying to be instafamous or a professional youtuber or whatever kids aim to be.

At least then you can brag about how much money you have. Because I'm sure people on the Internet will believe you and/or care.
Stop trying to be instafamous or a professional youtuber or whatever kids aim to be.
But I have 60 subscribers! I'll be a partner by next week!
