Kazzo stopped working

I use the Kazzo regularly to test out my games on real hardware. However, my kazzo decided to die on me today, even though it worked 2 days ago.

I did the usual stuff (unplugging/rebooting/etc.) but my computer (Windows XP virtual machine, where I have all my NES stuff) just stopped doing the little sound acknowledging there is a USB device present.

What's weird is that I tried plugging it in a Windows 10 and it seems to have at least recognised that a device was there.

Anyone know what the problem might be? Did you ever have any such problems with the Kazzo?

  • It will not work in windows 10 under normal circumstances. This is because the drivers for Kazzo are unsigned, and windows 10 will not allow unsigned drivers to work. I would recommend putting windows 10 in test mode. This allows unsigned drivers to work. After you do that, running the normal kazzo setup should get it working again.

I'm not quite sure why its not working in your virtual machine. Oracle VM is weird with USB and I know you need to configure it so thats all I know about that.

Worst case scenario, try reflashing the kazzo.
