Strange serial number on Watermelon Funtastic N64
https://imgur.com/a/X6oHP

"NM10319866"
Starts with "NM" where other USA N64s start with "NS."
No bar code.

Typical marker I usually see from the inside of clear Funtastic systems. Someone marks the case with a marker before the label is applied.
I can see-through to the "NM..." serial number, so I know there's not a standard barcode serial sandwiched underneath.

It had an NUS-CPU-08 board inside. The whole system is in really rough shape, but we've installed UltraHDMI (the flat cable) to use this board with something else.

The whole shell is trash.
That was $90 from a seller on Mercari. I took a chance. Basically spent $90 for an N64 motherboard since nothing else is usable. It's still a strange serial number though.

I love seeing your finished projects when reparing and saving these, but my heart sank with that pic. Definitely not a "nice deck" (Who keeps taking sledge hammers to these?!)
Still, I wonder about the strange number as well. I'm not too famililar with kiosks or demo units, could it be one of those?
