Is Jungle really valued more than Smoke (N64 Funtastic series)?

  • With the DK64 bundles, the Jungle Green is significantly more common than the others IMO.

I used to collect N64 heavily and the Smoke/Watermelon also was the hardest for me to acquire besides a nice TRU Gold bundle (F me for selling that one). Not sure why Smoke was more uncommon other than it's "lack" of color perhaps, and the Watermelon was the "feminine" color of the bunch. I even remember a fella on here saying he worked at TRU at the time and Watermelon by far sold less than the others.

But I agree with Pats1717 - the Green just pops! Was the one I kept all this time and still am debating an HDMI mod.

As the most common alternate color by far they definitely aren't unusual to find. That's why it's so surprising to see them consistently doing so well with UltraHDMI and even outperforming the genuinely less common colors. I guess we'll see if that was a fluke or not.

I'm not much of a N64 guy, but I just remember seeing the jungle green ones at the game shops around here a lot compared to the other colors.

I am also from the cincinnati general area, and I recall a lot of my friends having them  and I  still find lots of green n64's all the time.

Well, I still work my usual job to cover my portion while this has been his only income for a few months so that's why it's considered to be for "his" part. Besides, he's doing a lot of the work. Everything from writing, corresponding, cleaning, cutting, testing, acquiring, etc while I work my other job. The actual soldering takes no significant time at all.

Obviously, we can't keep this up forever (future availability changes things). We're lucky that it's buying time for us to set up for some other projects involving the CR-10 and Cricut Explore Air. We're working furiously on that stuff and sleeping only a few hours a day but hopefully it will pay off.

It was just the closest to being ready to sell when I got off work last night. Hope to prep UltraHDMI Smoke Mark 2 today.
