Help! NES Graphic Issue
Hello all!
I've been experiencing some graphical issues with my NES for some time now and just decided to ask someone for help, because I know I'll never be able to figure it out on my own.
For example, Rad Racer starts up fine until the actual game starts. Then, there is a pure blue background with a scrolling gray mess going vertical. Sometimes the car sprite is there, sometimes it isn't, sometimes it just skips you directly to the end of the game. Attached below is a picture of it.

Another game that has the graphic issue is Super Mario Bros 3. In this one, the Mario sprite and other various enemy sprites are all garbled.

Mega Man 3 also experiences this where the background seems to be taken out in little blocks.

Another game is Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt. There isn't any graphical errors that I can tell, but the SMB fails to load on all 3 copies I have, even though they work on another NES.
For everyone's information, I have cleaned each of these games with rubbing alcohal and some erasers. I'm assuming that it is something to do with the NES console and not the games, but I just can't tell, saying I'm pretty new to the NES collecting business. I wouldn't mind having to learn about the electronic components if that's what it will take to save it. Thanks in advance for anyone that reads this!

did you try replacing the nes 72 pin in the system? also most of the game you pointed out that has issues has an mmc3 mapper chip in it. (except mario and duck hunt.) intresting...
well if you did replace it take it apart again and use steel wool #0000 super fine and scub the contacts on the motherboard. its rare but ive had a few nes motherboard that get rust crossion or dust build up on the contacts and sometimes requires a heavy duty method of getting them clean again. once polished take some glass cleaner and wipe the contacts on both sides to remove any metal debris and try again.
if you are still having issue you might have a bad PPU or ram or possibly even a bad power cap under the RF sheild. try a diffrent ac adaptor too if possible.
