I need help figuring out the value of my WORLD OF Nintendo display case

Does anyone know the value of this display case? It dates back to the original NES and it's one of the display cases with the light up front upper WORLD OF Nintendo logo and the big WORLD OF Nintendo logo on the back. It's currently in storage so I can't measure it at the moment but I know that it's taller than me. It's probably around 7 feet tall. Please don't reply to this post with any offers if this post sparks any interest. I do plan on selling it but I need help figuring out the value first and then I'll post it in the appropriate section. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • I think they are going for 1000-1500 now a days.

You will find a seller, it will just have to be local. Guys really like these.
  • Are you serious?! I'd have to let it go then. I need the cash. I will hate myself forever and ever and ever. Thanks for the speedy response by the way.
  • Haha in Michigan too. Very nice piece there senor.
  • Is it missing the glass doors? Anyway, price can vary depending on condition. I'd say $1,000 wouldn't be a bad starting point for negotiation. There's plenty of people on here that would be willing to work a deal out (including me)
  • Missing doors and appears to be damage to the marquee. Cannot tell for sure. Having new custom sized pieces of tempered glass for this is not going to be cheap although I have seen many just put shelves in it and use it as an open face display. $1500 may be top of the mark for this one. Since its missing the glass its going to be alot easier and safer to have it freighted or Ushipped. If someone really wants this they will get it across the country.
  • Don't sell for any less than $1200, someone will pay that and probably more. Saw you put it on CL too.

  • @ RalliArtEvo and Sign Collector Guy... I don't know if the doors are missing or not. I left it at my mother's house a decade ago when I left the nest. The doors could be in the same room, in the basement, in the garage... I'm going to have to take a trip over there very soon and look around. There is a crack in the front upper sign thru the "L" and "D". It's always really bothered me because I imagine it was caused by an employer that wasn't being careful with a ladder. I believe there are at least 2 small spots where the gray plastic shell has been chipped. I really appreciate all of the help guys. @ jonebone... yeah I started my research on Craigslist. So glad I found this place. I've been offered $250 bucks on there. I'd never take that but obviously I'd have a hard time finding a serious buyer.

Seeing the pictures now $1000 would not be a bad offer. I would be suprised if you got $1200 for it now seeing the damage to the marquee and the doors missing. Good luck with the sale and thanks for sharing
