Playstation 2 Jampack Games

Just got a few random titles from a book store with Jampack Vol. 15 being one of the titles. GVN doesn't seem to track these and along with the price I'm generally curious about the history behind these discs. I know certain demo games contained the whole game in it but cut off access to the entirety of the game, is that the case here?

  • Not positive with all of the jampack discs and volumes, but I've acquired tons of the PS1 and PS2 ones over the years and they are all essentially worthless to a few dollars. Wish I could be more help with the history, though.
  • Not sure on the completeness of the games, but IIRC all of them were just demos and not complete games. The PS2 ones are virtually worthless unfortunately as there is no market for them (you might get a bite at a couple bucks). I have all but one or two of them and they were almost always a buck or free with another purchase. If you're looking to sell them, I would probably put them as a lot and try to get $10 or something for someone trying to go after the PS2 demos.

As far as history, these came out 1-2 times per year as part of the PS Underground series. They were sold really cheap (like $5-8) and included playable sections of around 10-15 popular games that were recently released. It was a great way to sample a bunch of games before dropping $50 on a single game. I believe they also included some behind the scenes stuff that was pretty cool.
