so i dont see anything out of the ordinary. but im looking al low res images. its weird cause if there was an issue with the traces it would be likely there would be other graphical errors besides the curcer missing.
The images should be high res. If you right-click > copy image location and paste it into a new tab you should get the full sized image. I'm wondering if there's really nothing wrong with the game but its something else causing it? I was thinking maybe it was my particular TV (plasma flat screen) but i also tried it on an old Sony trinitron and it did the same thing.
Actually thats a possabillity. the curser flikers. problably at 60fps if your tvs are deinterlacing the signal you lose half of your frames. unfortunatly those frame are the one without the curser Even the sony trinitrons were capable of that. do you have an even older tv to try this on?
but before you put that game back together take an eraser to it first to clean the contacts.

The picture makes the contact pins look a lot worse. They are actually really clean, and i also cleaned them myself for good measure. They are just not the good quality copper / gold looking pins like Nintendo uses. They almost look like nickel.
I will see if i can find a friend with an older TV, or maybe i can mess with the settings of my TV to get it to display properly. Thanks for the suggestion.

So I got this from Meteor_of_War and have been playing with it a bit since. I've also dumped the ROM and what I find interesting is the ROM dump plays exactly the same as the cartridge, no cursor / cursor option as Meteor_of_War described above. I also dumped it several times and each dump is identical (checking with sha256) on the dump. I mainly got this to add to my collection / check off chiller on the list but this is kinda interesting. Any ideas where to go from here, I may try re-flowing the solder but from a visual inspection everything seems OK.

No problem! good luck!
Hoping you can get to the bottom of the issue. It was outside my qualifications for sure.
