I noticed a couple of issues with the image on my tv that I am hoping someone may know how to resolve. The lower right quadrant appears to lower slightly. When there is a line running across the lower third of the screen it is straight then half way across angles downward slightly.
The other problem is with the edges. I can see along the bottom, left, and right that the image appears to bow in slightly. It doesn't seem like the image is distorted but more like the image is cut off. This one seems much worse on my component input for some reason.
Images for both are included. Does anyone know if any of the service settings would help remedy these issues?

Unfortunately I am not on Facebook but I may have to get back on for this one. I have a 24" CRT I can use if needed but would rather get the 27" fixed up.

Unfortunately I am not on Facebook but I may have to get back on for this one. I have a 24" CRT I can use if needed but would rather get the 27" fixed up.
Look up accessing the service menu on Sony CRTs. But be very careful. Its some serious stuff.
could be signs of caps starting to go bad. personally id just go on craigslist and find another. that TV is very easy to find for free
Once the repair requires opening the TV up I am out. I was able to locate the service manual and will give a few of the adjustments a try. Like you said though, I may just be watching Craiglist for a while. I see these for free or $20 often. Oddly there a people posting them for $150 in my area too.

the best way to find a sony crt tv on craigslist is to look up simply tv. or sony tv or crt vt. tv will give you the most results. you will have to look awile but will likely find the tv you are looking for.
150 dollars!? screw that lol. actually if you can find yourself one of these sony models. there better than your current tv. they are a bvit bigger though

Good call. I search Trinitron a lot so it brings up people looking to make a killing off of it. Need to add those models to the list and be patient.

If you do find one that want money for it i wouldnt pay any more than 60 for it. good luck!
