snes with noise in audio

picked up a snes with a noise or buzzing sound in the audio.  ive tested it with my snes control deck tester and everything passes in the test menu. im using an official AC adaptor.  this sound issue doesnt exist on my system using same power and cables. cart slot was cleaned.



i thought maybe it was a bad cap. i opened it up and nothing is bulging or leaking. i also tried a diffrent sound module i had laying around same issue.



i still think it might be a bad cap but im not completly sure which one it could be.



anybody got any ideas?

I have seen bad caps cause issues like this before. I never change just one though. I always replace all the caps.

The best way to know wich one is bad is to use a ESR meter. This send an AC frequency in the capacitor and verify the output signal.

B&K has a friendly visual interface and you can use it in board directly. It's a good investment if you make a lot of repairs.
