How to spot PCE Works bootleg?

I don't know much about PCE Works besides they put out a 1:1-ish Sapphire repro at some point. I saw this Rondo of Blood on Ebay and A/Bing it with a real copy I couldn't really tell a difference (maybe except that the colors are too dark). Is there any easy way to tell that this is fake? I'm not worried about Rondo of Blood in particular, moreso PCE Works games in general:

  • For this particular release it seems its just a coloring thing. There might be some sort of mark on the disc as well but who knows.
  • You check the numbers on the inner ring of the disc.
  • PCE works .. Those are some REAL nice fakes
  • Fuck Tobias, Fuck PCEWorks

For authenticating Rondo look at the disk, it'll have the PCEWorks logo over the Konami logo.

For sealed games, you can always tell by its seal. Real PCE seals have a little red strip thing on the front you use to open the games, sealed PCEWorks garbage does not have this.
