One of my favorites, I have one too. As hot as signs are I bet it's flirting with 4 digits. Pretty large too, about 24 x 36 if I remember right.
Seriously? I haven't kept up at all. What would the Turnip and Yoshi Mario signs go for now?
Turnip and Yoshi Mario have been pretty flat, probably $300-$500 Turnip and $250-$400 Mario World. Those are more abundant. This one should pull an easy $600-$700 as a quick sale or close to 4 digits if patient.
Cool guys. Thanks for all the info. I would say it's probably 24x36. The only problem is finding a place to put it. That might be a little rough with all the stuff on my walls.

Offer it to the cops next time you get pulled over on the way to a convention

Going 85 in a 55 you say....................(Pulls sign from backseat)..........This is not the speeding ticket you are looking for.
Looking for a price on this sign I picked up. I'm going to keep it but was just curious on what it might be worth:
Is the reverse side cardboard or plastic? I keep thinking I have seen both variations. The super stars sign has a cardboard and plastic variation. Very similiar manufacturing techniques for alot of these signs of that era.

Fair question, mine is cardboard and I can't tell what the OP's is. I know you clued me into my Superstars sign being a first print cardboard back so I appreciate that
I always like to throw this picture up when I see this sign. I like to refer to it as an aisle talker.
Think of entering Target/Walmart today and seeing this from the front of the store instantly knowing there is Nintendo products and knowing straight where to go. Nintendo had retail marketing simply mastered by then and clearly a very dominating prescence.
In the bottom right picture you can see the Sega cabinet right there. A cabinet I am not sure I have ever seen in collectors hands.
Also here is something very interesting as well. This is actual conceptual art depicting the sign we know today but a bit different. Notice how it says The World of Nintendo with the word "The".
I keep thinking I have seen this version and maybe it was a sign that was made but I do not think so. We can obviously recognize many other items in these drawings.
I will check on the back side when I get home today. I think it was plastic but honestly I'm not sure. As you can see from the pictures One side is raised and the other is flat.

It is plastic just to clarify.
I thought it was. Interesting. Thank you
Are there not any known versions of this sign with plastic on both sides?
I just dont think anyone is paying that close of attention
