Weird Blaster Master Cart
Okay, so this is something that I have had in my collection for a while now, but I figured that since I have recently came back to the site, I should probably share this because to be honest, I have no idea what this is and even after doing some research on it, I still don't know what it is. So, about a year or two ago, I picked up a copy of Blaster Master at a game store. Sounds normal, right? Well, when I got the copy, I immediately noticed that it looked a lot more different than your standard Blaster Master cart. The label was completely drawn over, making it look like some weird crayon-scribbled mess. Which isn't really that weird. I'm sure there were plenty of kids back then that just didn't know how to take proper care of their games and scribbled over them. Even I'm guilty of this, as I have a beat up Super Mario Bros. 3 cartridge that I used to draw and tape stuff on. But the weirdest thing about it was the fact that the back label said "CAN." Now, to my knowledge, after both looking this up online and in the site's database, I did not find a single listing for a Canadian version of Blaster Master. And I can't see if the code on the front is different from the US code because, like I said before, it's completely covered up. So, I don't know if there ever was a Canadian version or this was just some weird cartridge that somebody else assembled together and then sold at a store. Hopefully, somebody else can tell me what exactly this is.
I uploaded a couple of pictures of the cart (and my amazing bed lol), which you can view in the attachments.
EDIT: I added a picture of the end label.

Ah, okay. I'm still not sure why someone would swap out the back sticker, though.
Not the sticker. The original back was probably broken/cracked/chipped so they unscrewed the cart and put the back from another game on there
It's a very unique copy. So long as it plays (and it's not an expensive title) I personally wouldn't be in a hurry to replace it. Kind of awesome IMO.
I was just gonna say the same thing! Very unique! It would be a cool conversation piece, no doubt.

Yo, I know this is an old thread and all that. However, I wanted to mention that I have recently picked up a better condition copy of Blaster Master. But don't worry, I won't be getting rid of my old copy anytime soon. In fact, I kinda like having both copies. They're almost like brothers.
Nice, I like beat up games like that for my personal collection - I'm weird. They have character and boy does that one have character - you should sell it to me fellow Iowan .
Yeah, it's definitely an interesting copy. I may sell some other games in the future, but I probably won't be selling my old Blaster Master for a while. It's too bizarre to not give up, ya know?
If you want me to sell you something... uh, I have an extra Super Spike V'Ball if you want it lol.
