Master System Controller Port pin replacement
I picked up a Master System not too long ago. It came complete in box and is really clean looking. Only problem is that one of the pins in the controller port is missing. So on controller #1, the up button doesn't work. I knew this before purchasing it but went ahead and got it anyway because it was so clean and otherwise well kept and the offer was to good to refuse.
So anyhow I need to fix the broken pin. I'm thinking I'll need to take out the whole controller #1 port and replace it with a new one. I have an Atari Flashback that I don't really care for.. can I use the controller port from that? Or is there a place I can go to buy just a new controller pinout port?
How complex is the repair? Is it just screwed in or is there some soldering required? I have basic soldering experience, so any tips would be gretly appreciated.

the repair required desoldering the port. im not sure if a flash back has the same design but i know a sega genesis would problably work
It's usually possible to extract a pin from something, but it's usually difficult to see how to do it.
Which model Master System do you have?

I don't know which model it is.. How can you tell? It came in the gray box labelled as "Sega Base System" ad I am hoping that the box matches the system, as I heard John Hancock say the gray box version is kind of rare. But I'm not a Sega buff, so I could use some pointers.
