Is this Kickmaster cart authentic?
I've done my due diligence in reading some of the stickied topics on how to check for NES authenticity, but I'm still left with a few questions. I'm new to this as I'm not the real collector in the family, my husband is, and I'm just trying to buy him a Christmas gift without getting scammed.
This copy of Kickmaster has a tear in the label where the front label code should be (NES-8K-USA). I asked for a picture of the board and was sent the attached image. Comparing it to the board image on http://bootgod.dyndns.org:7777/image.php?ImageID=1784, it looks nearly identical. The only two differences are:
1) Under the copyright 1988 line on the left side, looks like the cart in question says 41BB while the one on bootgod's site says 45BB.
2) First line on the very righthand side (upside down), cart in question says 9418 E, while bootgod's has 9419 E.
I honestly don't know if these differences in number don't matter or not which is why I'm asking. Most people generally have said the codes should match but I don't know to what extent that means. Should it be an exact match on every cart made?
Thanks for any help, I really appreciate it.

The code on the label for this one is NES-8K-USA, which matches up to the NES-8K-0 PRG and NES-8K-0 CHR chips. Those are the two important ones.
The other codes can vary and it's not a big deal. I know that the 9148 code means the chip was manufactured in the 48th week of 1991.
In the For Sale thread look for bodine1231 sales thread.
PS. That is a NICE GIFT!!!!!!
It looks authentic. Just an FYI. Nintendoage has a member here that looks like they are selling Kickmaster. You may find a better deal or a better label. Plus you generally don't have to worry about fakes here.

Thanks! I actually contacted bodine1231 last Saturday and I never heard back As it's a Christmas gift, I wanted to make sure I got it in time but obviously I would prefer buying from a member here for sure. Seems like a great community of people and I've learned a lot just from looking through various threads.
Thanks to everyone else who replied with their thoughts. I'm going to keep everything that was pointed out in mind the next time I buy!
Yeah, that's an authentic board. Label is probably authentic, too, as scammers usually don't mimic damage.
You'd be suprised. Although, they're never good at. They might do it to try and hide the fact that it's a bootleg or remove any indication that it may read "reproduction" or something. Never put anything past a scammer.
Luckily, this cart isn't the case. Most old damage looks, well... old.

the rounding on the corners look right, that's hard to fake. Label looks good to me
