Happy B-Day. It might be because I had my first kid the year I turned 30, but that was the age where I started to feel like an aging adult in my body. It really is/was the start of the tipping point for me. My recommendation is simple, if you aren't active now, get active. I'm not saying go heavily to the gym or anything, but find something to do that will keep your body and mind active. When I slack off in those areas, I can tell pretty quickly and I'm only 36. I also consistently weighed around 132lbs, give or take 3-4lbs because weight fluctuates. Ever since 30, I've consistently gained 2-3lbs pounds per year by average and I feel sluggish if I don't keep moving.
Everyone one's body types are different but my TL;DR is simply to just be aware that this is the point in life where "maintenance" is important. If you start now, it can be easier than having that "oh, shit" moment at 45 or older and possibly having to fight up hill to get yourself back to reasonable health.

I totally feel you! I did get a gym membership! You are right this seems like a real turning point in life! It is importnat to get yourself in a good place!
Happy Birthday, Issa! Don't freak out--30 is the new 20 as far as having life figured out, which means you have another 10 years til you hit the new 30!
Haha I'm 30 and my life is basically identical to when I was 20, same job, no kids, I look the same, feel the same, all of that, just more life experiences is all. 30 didn't hit me the way the episode of Full House when Danny turned 30 always made me think it was gonna be. Probably 40 will hurt.
