Nes/snes test carts please help real and prices?

A local collector to me is selling off a huge amount of his collection of which the following pictures is three of the items that he has and I'm trying to determine if A these are real and B if the prices on posting are fair for the items because they're so very little info on them.  as for prices i really dont know what is fair but judging off ebay i can only find the gray nes test has sold for 200 and 300$,the yellow has only had port deck and control deck carts sold NO joystick test carts.  the other 2 yellow have sold for 600-1400$.  as for the snes burn in i dont know what to do.  vgpc shows a bunch of fakes at 35$ but actual real ones are from 3-10+ years ago on vgpc and are 100-1k$.   he said he paid 500$ for the snes burn in and a guy i talked to that runs a store said he knows someone who sold one in mint mint shape for 1500 last year.   i was thinking 200$ on gray,400$ on yellow, and 1k$ on the snes test but i really dont know if im over paying underpaying or what.  his list is as follows of what hes selling.....

action 52 125$

flinstones surprise bad label most of top torn 400$

fire n ice some minor yellowing spots on left side. 90$

snow brothers has a decent amount of yellowing. 130$

bonks 375$

little samson 825$

bubble bobble part 2 200$

panic restaurant 360$

jetsons 115$

ntf2 nes gray test cartridge 200$

nes joystick test cartridge yellow 400$

felix the cat 40$

turok rage wars gray cart variant 115$

snes burn in test cartridge controller scope mouse 1000$

spuds adventure gameboy 140$

that totals 4515$

the prices is what i put based off conditions of the carts etc..  most are 9 or better shape with the 3 that are noted.  i really want to add some of these to my collection so any help is greatly appreciated especially on the test carts(snes mostly)

The test carts look good to go authenitic wise. Is it me or does the SNES cart seem way too high at $1000. Many of the other carts seem to be priced pretty well. Cannot see condition. That is alot of money to spend. I personally feel

if I am putting down close to 5000 dollars I want one heck of a deal.

  • I didn't post pictures of everything only because you're kind of limited on how many pictures you can post I know to open up the games anyways. The Super Nintendo one is really tough to price he said he paid 500 for it I know he knows what the value of the stuff is and we agreed that 75% would be fair on the other games. As for the test carts I honestly probably will not keep them for the collection and I'm just going to resell them myself I mainly want to get little Samson & spuds adventure and the rest of the stuff I own. As far as the Super Nintendo test goes I talked to a friend of mine he said that they recently sold one in his store for 1500 in mint shape so that's the only info that I have to go off of.
  • They all look real, but I don't know much about the NES test carts price wise because I mostly collect SNES.

There are a bunch of revisions of the Burn-In and I can't believe one sold for $1500. I always thought it was the most common SNES Test cart, but it is always popular. Someone here has one on listed on Ebay right now for $2499.99 with quite a few watchers.

I think I remember one that sold on Ebay for around $1000 a few years ago because it took a 2 or 3 years to find someone willing to pay that much.

I have a copy of the Burn-In, NTF 2.5, and Super Scope and I don't think I ever paid more than $200 each for any of them. I won the NTF 2.5 at auction about a year and a half ago for under $200 and talked the seller into selling me the Super Scope I needed too for around $200 because she had a bunch of test carts with duplicates and even multiple revisions.

If you pay $1000 for it just for resale, it might take you a while to make a profit.
  • I really appreciate all the info guys thank you. I know he said he paid 500 for the Super Nintendo burn in like 5 to 7 years ago and based off for the info I'm getting from everybody and from the research that I've seen on eBay as well as on here in a few other groups I'm thinking I'm probably going to most likely pass on the Super Nintendo test cartridge and just focus on the others.
  • I would buy those test carts in a sec!! Snes prib 600-700 fair price.
  • Thanks laketown
  • All thos prices seem reasonable and below average, except the snes test cart.
  • Good prices on the test carts
  • ok so i followed up with the guy and he said he would take 4500$ the problem is i really dont know if i want to deal with the snes test cart. this is where the issue comes in as he said its either take all or nothing and i dont know from what im getting on here etc.. if the test cart is worth the hassle. would anyone on here even have interest in the test cart for snes??? i know the nes ones are very popular and in that shape id have no issue selling them. i dont know if its even allowed on this page to do a presale but i kinda dont want to invest the money on the snes test cart unless i know someone who might want it.
