Hell of a bump, especially for an "original repro"
True, sorry about that. I just heard about this "Bounty" for original art and didn't know the topic was as old as it is (yeah I should have looked at some post dates). Find it fascinating that some of this classic artwork is floating around and in the hands of a few lucky collectors and makes you wonder where a lot of it ended up and who the artists were. I guess "Original" and "repro" don't really belong together but seeing as I put the time in to try and recreate it I feel it is original art but yet a reproduction. Considering how difficult and costly it seems to obtain the originals a few people may be interested in my "knockoffs" as a suitable and affordable one of a kind substitutes. Maybe not. Also by bumping it I found out about the Facebook page Original Game Art so that's a positive.
Yeah if only it was as easy as naming a title . Only about 10% of them are known. Many many many are from japan or kept by the software company or destroyed or unknown or logos or photos or even screenshots . When you filter it all down, you cant chase specific titles, you just have to be happy with what you find, pretty much

this is really fascinating to me. It checks off so many boxes of why I collect in the first place. Y'all need to have a touring art show and come to the southern US! Sorry for my ignorance regarding this type of collecting
There's a following sure, and I suspect it's similar but I don't really know for sure as it's not my area. But yeah more or less; and all within the greater realm of action figure related art.
Right, but Contra boxart is iconic for the NES. Transformers is iconic for sure, but not for its boxart, just my humble opinion. Not every van gogh is starry night lol
