I am a Full-Time Regular Carrier, have been for a couple years. Made it Full-Time after being a CCA for 7 months, fastest they've ever seen in my office. I believe CCAs are still being paid about $16.50 or $17 an hour. They told me "We can't guarantee you any hours", which contractually they couldn't, but I always had over 30 hours a week. Once you make full-time regular pay is about $20 an hour starting out, with your first $0.76 raise after 96 weeks.
After your three days of OJT they're going to throw you to the wolves. Just do the best you can. They're going to ride you to attempt to push you to always go faster. Don't worry about that and do your best, they won't fire you like that. You have 90 working days or 120 calendar days of probation. My advice is to join the union, be very careful with driving, and don't get bit. I've heard of CCAs on probation getting bit and being let go, which is kind of fucked in my opinion.
Any questions you have about the job let me know or post them, I'll check back a bit later.
Thanks man, yeah I have been working on my thick skin lately, and getting mentally ready for it but I just have to see what happens when its just me and the llv
Oka been on the pony show for a little over 3 minths closing in on that 120 day pretty soon and at first I was like wow this stuff is hard... now its oka, route and a piece sure and you want 100% circulars oka why not.
I've always respected the post office, but I am a bit biased. My grandmother was a post master for 30 years and my uncle is a carrier. When I was little and I went to visit my grandparents, my mom would sometimes xrop me off at the post office and my grandmother would have me clean the place; organazing all tellers desks mostly. I used to like the smell of those thick rubber bands I would always take a pocket full home to shoot at things. Her retirement benefits were nothing to sneeze at.

I am not holding my breath but lets see what happens
You went from very confident to apathetic in the span of two hours.
