Alright about a week has passed now and I've been dying to post this link and ask.  Item should be well on their way to the winning bidder (and the winning bid was high) so I don't think I'm stepping on anyone's toes here.

Who here owns an actual Maxi-15 Box?  I've seen several factory sealed Maxi 15's in the $200ish range but they all are only the black snap case with plastic wrap on top.  I've never seen the yellow box until this auction:

That box has to be quite rare, considering it went for over $300.  Who here has one / how many of these are even confirmed?

    Only boxes i've ever seen were with factory sealed ones. Nice spot, I like that Maxi 15 sticker.

    That's what's weird though, none of the "factory sealed" ones I've seen have had the box?  For example there's two in eBay stores now, neither has box:

    Ive had one that had everything except the cardboard box. I think I have had 3 copies of that game and thats the only one I ever seen the box to it.

    Prob because most people threw it out, if you bought something with a nice hard case and a thin paper covering outside of it, you would probably do the same thing. In essence them having the hard case made throwing the box out that much easier.

    You are correct sir.  Beat me to it.  From what I've seen in prices over the years, there doesn't seem to be much of a difference between games with/without the box.

    I have seen the yellow box lots of times, it is a little more rare but not that much more rare than the US version. I passed up buying lots of them for 100 each.

    I think they're more common in Canada, I've found 5-6 of them CIB (one with the outer box) over the years. There used to be a warehouse here apparently but it was ruined by the flood in the 1997 and sold off to various people/businesses. Should have asked this 6-7 years ago, I could have gotten a whole bunch for dirt cheap (compared to today).

    lol, I think a lot of us would have spend money differently 6-7 years ago if we had even a slight idea about market value in today prices.

    Thing is, this stuff is always around. Right now, in fact, there's stuff out there that seems like crap to you and me, but it's going to be worth tons of cash. I'm always wondering what stuff in discount bins out there right now will be worth hundreds in ten years.

    I haven't followed this game a lot recently but I wouldn't take too much away from this alone when the 3rd highest bidder bid $120 other than there's another bidder out there that is willing to pay a lot!

    this was a fluke... shouldnt have ended anywhere near this price.



    i know erik has one (sealed). i had 2 (sealed) but sold one this past winter. nowadays, it is quite rare to find it, but it truly is only the canadian release of the game, as everyone else said
