Mario Tennis GBC Dead Battery

So I just bought Mario Tennis for the GBC for $10 CAD and everything works great when I used it on my GBA. Unfortunately it wont save, what steps do I need to take to replace the battery? Is it easy? Is it worth the risk?

  • Super easy replacing the battery. You will need a soldering iron though. Just heat up the solder on the pads and lift the battery while it's hot. Then do the same to the other side removing the battery from the board. Then take your replacement battery (buy it online, they're cheap) and make sure your polarity is oriented right. Heat up your solder on the pad with the battery leg sitting on top. Add some more solder if needed to have the solder cover the top of the leg to have it secure. Repeat for the other side and your good to go.
