Nintendo Service Center Items

Hey guys -

I am new here to the community. Long story short: I found a listing on craigslist for retro nintendo items. I showed up thinking that they would have a typical household's worth of retro games/consoles, but it ends up that this seller used to own a Nintendo service center. I am just now starting to sort everything. I'll attach a picture of what I am dealing with and a second picture of a few items I have seen so far that I could use some more information on.

  • Dat Nintendo 64 Test cartridge tho...
  • Pretty freaking cool. What is that Atari doing in there?
  • There are a few non-Nintendo items in the mix like that 5200 and a Sega Genesis. I’m guessing that the seller’s personal stuff got thrown in with the service center items.
  • Could we get more pics of the stuff that is there?
  • That's insane. What a haul...and for the seller to not advertise what they had is just amazing.
  • The price he asked for was exceptionally low for the lot, so I was happy to take it home. Now it’s just trying to figure out what exactly I have on my hands.
  • Quick update with some more pictures for those interested in what was found.

  • wow awesome find! very cool
  • That is a great find! I like the art on the cleaning kits.
  • I just recently cleared out an entire service center. If you have any questions on your items or need values I can help you out a lot. Let me know if you need any help I'm more than happy to get you any info, test station/service center stuff is my personal God
  • Holy moly, what I wouldn't give to spend a day digging through all that old stuff... I love the literal wall of NES's!
  • I. WANT. WHAT. YOU. HAVE.
  • Jesus Christ. Did you like have to hide your excitement when you actually got there and saw the lot, I would have.

^this 100%! I would’ve been digging in my wallet immediately to give him the money!

  • Super Mario TEST CART. NO WAY!!!!

This should be in Finders Keepers. One of the best hauls I've seen in the longest time.
  • Yep! I had to do just that. Pretend that it wasn’t a big deal, but I sealed the deal as fast as possible.
  • whats up with that box of naked zappers

The sale came with loads of replacement parts. Stuff like new controller buttons, motherboards, GameBoy screens, etc.

  • Woooooow. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for all of this?

Also, I recommend sorting this stuff. Anything that is branded as legit test equipment (like the specific N64 cart) set aside. Anything else that is just a Nintendo with an at-home looking printed label marking it for test, might not be special. I mean, it's still an amazing haul but just because there's a "test cartridge" sticker on it doesn't mean much of the guy took a Mario 64 game off the shelf and slapped his own label on it.

Still, this is a mega-find. It's not worth as much as the guy on here who a few months ago walked into a thrift shop and saw boxes of high-quality SNES carts, all for $5 each and had games like Wild Guns in it. Still, this is an amazing find. Unbelievable.
  • Also, I need a nice conditioned SNES shell for my junky, poorly painted SNES that I have. If you'd be up for selling one, PM me. I've been looking around for one for a while. Thanks.
  • Cool find! What boots up when you load the Mario 64 cart?
  • Rev-A or B test cart?
  • o_0mg S-S-S-Superscore!
  • Great pick up! The deals are still out there, this proves it!!
  • the test cart (rev A?) is worth around 1250 to 1500 dollars on ebay. the n64 test cart is considered one of the holy grail of n64 collecting. as for the other test stuff im not sure. all i know if those stickers make then quite valuable. i also like how casual you were with this find XD you talk like you find rare stuff often lol. great score!
