Sealed Pokemon Blue

I have a sealed copy of Pokemon Blue that I aquired in a lot a couple years ago. There is a white sticker on the wrapping that is covering the barcode and I am curious if this was ever bundled with anything like a Gameboy that would require the this sticker to keep it from being sold new separately. Does anyone know if this is true or what the other reason would be. Does this increase the value?

    no
  • I believe it was bundled with the guide inside of a blister pack.

Also, the sticker is essentially a flaw, and would make the item less valuable. In my eyes, at least.
  • ugh factory sealed is a dark and gross rabbit hole. In my mind the sticker covering the barcode doesn't devalue it, but then again I would open it and just have a mint copy lol

edit: also sometimes white stickers would go over when resold by places. for example if amazon sells something they cover up original barcode sometimes
