F1 Pole Position for Original Gameboy Sealed New

Anyone know the potential value of a F1 Pole Position for Original Gameboy that is Sealed New?  I can't find much information on it and have never seen even the box on eBay.   There are no rips in the cellophane, but there is a dent in the back and some slight crushing.  Thanks!

  • Crushed sealed stuff is definitely tougher to price and gameboy can also be very difficult. Sometimes the best way to find a value is an auction on eBay. But if you are looking to buy then it is tricky you just have to try and find your comfort zone. Good luck hopefully some gameboy guys will pipe up.
  • I paid $1,200 for a mint CIB copy in 2013.
  • I sold a cart only copy back in late 2014 for $400, during a drought. Considering how the box hardly comes up in any kind of condition, sealed or no. Even with the slight crushing, I wouldn't even bat an eyelash at anything less than 5k, and I feel like that's still under valuing it. Someone with deep pockets will most certainly buy it.
  • F-1 sealed show up so infrequently condition probably won't make as much of a difference in price. I could see someone easily dropping $3,000+ for it.
  • Off the hip guess I'd say around $2.5k

The best part about opinions, we are all allowed to have one. But if you would like, I can put "IMO" at the end of everything I say.

Goodness, and the people here wonder why others avoid NA like the plague..

So, do you want me to put "IMO" too in the end of everthing I say? Get some fresh air

Its just that 5k is wildly optimistic in all fairness.   No gameboy sealed title has sold for anywhere close to that, that I'm aware of, and if it did it would be more likely to be a sealed GB zelda or other high demand title in perfect condition.     These sorts of titles appeal more to the loose and/or cib guys than the sealed guys.

Jone's 2.5k is probably about right.

That is fair, though that isn't entirely true. Someone on here a while back was looking to pay like 3k-4k for a factory sealed copies of the big three gameboy titles, as well as like 3k on one that wasn't Amazing Tater, F1 or Spud's Adventure. I can't rmember who they were since it was a while ago, but they certainly had money, and did manage to get a few sealed titles that they were looking for. I wish that I could remember who they were though.

  • Clr2k is the big GB sealed collector. But he, like most sealed collectors, care about condition. No one wants the dreaded side crease at a premium price. Best you can realistically hope for is CIB plus 10 to 25% markup and even that may be a tough sale. If you get any higher than that you take the money and run.
  • What's the big deal with the game? Any link or explanation?
