Why hello, beautiful people!

Introductions feel so strange, don't they? But, I'll do my best to get through this one image.

Although I have been frequenting NintendoAGE for about a year now, I had yet to sign up until late February of this year and only started posting messages very recently.

What had initially caught my eye when coming across this awesome website, was the massive library of NES box and manual scans, easily the largest on the net!

I look forward to contributing manual scans in the future, as I have some Famicom stuff that people would probably appreciate. Will a Famicom Manual section be added by any chance?

I also plan on contributing in the financial sense when more previously unreleased games are in the process of being forever released. Some of the games that I would love to see made public include:

-A Nightmare on Elm Street (NES) original Freddy Krueger version, where the player controls the infamous villain for a change

-Hellraiser (NES)

-Rocky (NES)

-Swamp Thing (Sega Genesis)

-Toxic Crusaders (Super Nintendo)

-Wolverine (NES) Prototype that has Sabretooth and Wolverine featured on the the title screen

The recent release of Mike Tyson's Intergalactic Power Punch eally blew me away, I never expected this to happen, even though I had actually prayed for it to happen back in 2003 or so lol!

Anyway, not to be selfish or anything, this topic is supposed to give you more of an idea about me and the kind of gamer that I am, so let's have more about me shall we?

I am a hardcore old school gamer and enjoy buying games to beat them, rather than to collect them. However, I do enjoy reading and collecting various old school gaming magazines (Electronic Gaming Monthly, Game Players, Gamepro, Nintendo Power, Video Games & Computer Entertainment), guides and instruction manuals. They really don't make them like they used to!

The NES/Famicom and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive keep me coming back the most, but I am up for playing other systems, including the next gen games. However, the old school is where my heart lies, like most of you I am sure image.

I actually work at a video game store by the name of A & C Games that just so happens to specialize in rare and vintage games, but that also buys, sells, trades, rents everything else (a gamer's paradise!). I am on the ball when it comes the old school stuff, particularly the NES of course, but really do need to catch up with the newer consoles and games, as I am generally lost whenever customers inquire about the new school stuff lol.

People often say that I write WAY too much, but I can't help it, it's just my style! I am very detail oriented and often have plenty to express, especially when the subject matter involves classic gaming naturally image.

Thus far I have written one FAQ at Gamefaqs.com for Power Punch II, which I look forward to updating in the near future, thanks to the release of its original counterpart (all of the contributors will be included in the special thanks section of course!).

Okay, now this is where the madess factor kicks in. I don't play games to simply finish them like most normal people do, no, but rather play them to absolutely humiliate them. It's not some sick fetish or anything, at least I don't think it is, but I just have this incredible urge to dominate just about every game that I finish and to especially cut the tough games down to size!

Obviously being only human, there are some games that I have failed to completely break down. However, only about a handful of the 70 or so NES games that I have finished (I have not updated my games finished list recently as my computer is currently down), were not beaten without dying or losing (for sports related games):

-A Nightmare on Elm Street (1P one death, ah sooo close! This actually happened twice! I simply got too nervous in the end on both occasions and choked, but that was back when I was a mentally weaker gamer in 2003. I should give it another try now and give good ol' Freddy some nightmares for a change!)

-Battletoads (no warps with 8 deaths, no continues used.)

-Battletoads/Double Dragon The Ultimate Team (1P using Rash, 12 deaths, no continues.)

-Ghostbusters II (2 deaths, but I WILL give it the deathless treatment in time!)

-Ghosts 'N Goblins (too many deaths and continues to count lol. I never did attempt to finish it again after my first time through with the good ending though.)

-Guerrilla War (too many deaths to count, but I will probably be giving this another go at some point, at least without using any continues.)

-Tecmo World Wrestling (w/ Dr. Guildo losing 5 matches, I will be giving this another try though! This game really gets under my skin for some reason, must be because of all of that button mashing!) image

Yeah, I doubt that Dr. Phil would be able to help me, I am simply a MAD gamer and I wouldn't have it any other way hehe! People seem to generally appreciate the 100% non-TAS speed runs that I work on and that have been uploaded on Youtube through shincyriades and acgamesonline, it's quite awesome actually image.

The main reason why I post these gaming videos is to open people's eyes, so that they realize that just about anything is possible. When a person truly believes in his or her abilities and goes all out for their goals, anything can happen!

There are far too many nay sayers out there, saying that such and such is "impossible", or that that "can't" possibly be done. My ultimate goal is to rid the English vocabulary of these two words, as daunting as that task might be. Either way, I will always continue to do my best and simply wish for others to do the same, rather than take the easy way out and simply give up.

  • Welcome to the boards, man.
  • Welcome aboard. Enjoy your stay. And Tecmo World Wrestling is the greatest.
  • From the shadows to the light, Welcome!
  • Wow, you really want to tackle the world's hardest games image Welcome!!
  • WHAT?! I figured you wouldn't need an introduction, but hey, I guess not everyone knows the hard core gamers ; )

Good to have you around, because I love seeing accomplishments like what you do. That Punisher run was beautiful! *wipes a tear from his eye*

    Welcome!
  • Hey, I recognize you from your post on the MTIPP video thread on YouTube. Welcome to the forums!
  • Welcome to the site!
  • Wow, I really appreciate the positive reception! Thank you all so much for welcoming me with open arms image.

Yeah, it's about time that I started posting things already, as I have lot to share with my fellow gamers here!

Tecmo World Wrestling is definitely a good wrestling game, sunsetflip84, but it would be great if the player could train between every match and not specifically after losing. It makes absolutely no sense, don't you think? Imagine if all athletes didn't train prior to big games or matches, how would they be able to consistently perform at the highest level?

Anyway, hopefully I will be able to discover some cheesy count out method to win all of the matches, like I was able to do with WCW, also for the NES. Not  having to worry about being overpowered by certain opponents would be a huge relief, I'll just have to remain persistent that's all!

Hey that's awesome, Roth! I'm glad that you appreciate some of my runs, as I also appreciate yours, as you already know image.

By the way, which Punisher run are you referring to, the Super Game Boy one? That game is REALLY intense at times lol! But at least it's short though! I will be playing it on an original green screened Game Boy in the near future, which will obviously be a lot more challenging, as the screen is so much smaller! Hopefully I will be able to put up some live footage somehow!

Now, although I recently posted some of my photos in the Mug Shot section, I will do the same here, just in case people happen to miss the other topic. It all makes for a more complete introduction I believe.

This is what I normally look like with shorter hair (I'm the dude on the left with the smile, giving the thumbs up with my friend Roger, who also happens to be a big boxing fan, especially Mike Tyson) :

And this is what I look like whenever I am about to play some classic video games:

Nah, not really hahahahohehehehaha. That was taken on Halloween last year, when I was obviously dressed up as the Joker image.

  • You must have been the ONLY Cesar Romero Joker in the entire continental USA last year. Props for that, though.
  • hehe Love the Joker get-up!

I was referring to your NES run, actually:

You're accuracy is spot on, you really know that game! Even though parts were cut out of it, I watched the whole thing with a bucket under my chin to catch the drool hehe Great stuff man!
  • Nice to see another Toronto area dude around here. The more the... more.
  • Great intro, welcome.
  • Welcome to NintendoAge!
