Mini pro EEprom drivers wont load :/

Hi all, hope you are good.

I downloaded the latets drivers for my Mini pro TL-866 programmer.

Today I have gone to fire it up and install the latets software/drivers and it simply refuses to find the drivers.

When I try to manually find the drivers I cant seem to get windows 7 (64bit) to detect them and then it just refuses to work, the software will fire up but nothing much else seems work, the little yellow light on my eeprom writer flashes constantly also.

Im usally really good at fixing stuff like this but its almost like its installed the drivers to a secret location that I cant even point it to manually to detect them.

Anyone who can help out here?

Thanks.

Pea.

  • Just a heads up - I was using the latest drivers from their site

    http://www.autoelectric.cn/en/tl866_main.html

its possible the newest version wont work with my programmer so im grabbing the older version and will be trying it later.

    cheers,

    Pea.
  • I've heard of many people having issues with other software and drivers after a recent security change with Windows 10.
  • I have this programmer but I'm not running windows, thought I had it bad because I'm stuck with a command line only utility but it works great, you might want to take a look into that, you could probably run it on windows using cygwin: https://github.com/vdudouyt/minipro
  • Hey guys - I got it working, I did need the older software, it fired straight up.

Someone might end up searching for this and find it useful.
  • Thats kind of weird. I run the latest build of windows 10 64-bit and had no problems. I also run my computer in test mode so I can have unsigned drivers because one of the altera fpga boards that I used had unsigned drivers. Maybe that has something to do with it.
