Do you have Super Scope, SNES extension cable & SNES Flash cart?

Hello

I am pretty sure, that your Super Scope will work as Jäger AP74 if you cut P/S or make an adapter which disconnects this line.

On the weekend I did adapters which let me use wired Super Scope compatible guns and the Sega Light Phaser (works not perfectly, X readings are noisy).

I am thrilled to the whether it works on the real Super Scope, but sadly I have none. Are you interested to (CAUTION: PUN COMES!) give it a shot? ;-)

All schematics are yet only in a YouTube review I did on Sunday:

  • I second this question but wonder if any other light gun work with m.a.c.s.

    Thanks!
  • I should be able to try it.
  • The m.a.c.s. software is very specific of what it wants. Besides the gun, there is an exact distance form gun to screen and a very precise calibration that needs be done or shots will not register.

I assume most, as soon as one uses inverters. All the LDR variaty (Odyssey) won't work though and the encoded ones (Konami Justifier player one) could cause problems.

That would be lovely, thank you so much Ichinisan!

It will register, but it will be off. But then again: The real gun (the Jäger) is off too...
  • I attempted to make my own gun from a justified and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work. Is there a specific gun aside from the Jaeger that will?

With a Justifier it will work with a player two gun and all it's compatibles: eg Top Fighter and PG-5. The Justifier player one gun encodes the information in a funny way so it's less straight forward to use here.

Ok.. so I would need the pink justifier plugged into the blue in order to just play the game? What other brand guns would work right off the bat with the game? Btw thank you so much for responding!

No, to use a konami Justifier player two gun you would create a RJ12 to SNES adapter.

I think the simplest one to use would be the Nintendo Super Scope. Never tried it, bit it should work if you cut P/S. If you lack a super scope I recommand using a Sega Light Phaser to see whether you like the game at all, and whether it would be worth the hassle for you getting a better gun.

I thought you were saying it would work with a player two justifier. That's the pink one with the rj12. The adapter is built into the bottom of the first player blue gun. What I am looking for is the cheapest option to use as a gun for m.a.c.s. how do I use the sega light phaser and super scope? Are there any other options?

I am trying to get it to work on real hardware.

I do. Don't know the pinout and signal levels though. It would need invertation if both lines are not high.

The wiring scheme for the Sega Light Phaser is in the video. It just needs rewiring, the signals are already as they have to be.

Super Scope presumably just needs the P/S line to be cut.
