How much would an in-box Atari 800 computer go for?
Title says it all! A friend sold this to me (didn't know specifics, just knew it was Atari), and I really wasn't expecting this to be what I was getting. Box is in great condition, haven't gotten a chance to set up the computer yet but it looks fine from the outside. No inserts (can't tell if it even comes with any) and I don't think there's an instrustion manual anywhere with it. Couldn't find any boxed ones on eBay, so... yeah . By the way, this is the "Entertainer" box/system.

Those systems can develop several issues just sitting there from bad chips to non-function function keys.
The last one I tested in awesome shape still had bad function keys.
Cheaper end systems have issues or are "untested"
The healthy prices that you see will be for fully functional restored systems.
eBay should give you exactly what you need in terms of pricing but you really need to test it.

Yup. I think it was the 800/800XL we have that my brother (CZroe) fixed by replacing shift registers on the keyboard. Could have been the 400 though.
