Wind Waker promo cloth poster and pin

Hello all!

A family member used to work in a game store and occasionally brought home promo posters.

One of the posters he gave me, is the one in question here.

It is a The Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker poster made of cloth. It has two wooden support rods. It meassures about 20" x 50" (rough estimate) and it came with a Zelda pin (removeable).

I've seen the design before, but never as a cloth poster of this quality. I was told that it is a promo poster for the release of The Wind Waker and it came with the pin. But I did not get any additional info.

I did some research and could not find any similar poster. The pin looks like it could be a Ocarina of time promo pin. But why would that come with a Wind Waker poster (?)

I've attached a few pictures and hope someone have info or have seen this type of poster before.

And of course, any guesses at what it could be worth?

Thanks in advance.

  • Definitely an Ocarina promo pin. Doesn't belong with the poster. I'm guessing the pin still fetches $80-100 USD

    Same design, but doesn't look cloth. UK promo most likely;

  • Looks like Euro / UK artwork?
  • There's 3 different sizes of that pin also, smallest came with special edition, medium came from E3, and the biggest was employee only button. The biggest has 2 pins on the back. That one looks to be one of the smaller 2 but I can't tell for sure.

Yes, I thought it could be a OOT pin. Thanks for confirming.

Funny you show me the Turok poster. I actually think I got one in the same batch as the WW poster.

Yes definately - I'm from Denmark, so it is sure to be a EU design. Nice to know that UK and DK have the same design, at least at that time.

Then I think it is the "middle" size. It has one pin on the back and I think the "small" type I've seen pictures of looks different. Thank you for the info, very useful.

Oh, thank you for clarifying. When I press the link I get a turok poster and a notice in the top I overlooked. Clicking on it I get to the listing you refered to.

For anyone who may overlook it I've attached a picture of the link I overlooked.

Thank you all for the info. Very useful.
