CIB Duck Hunt NON HANGTAB ~ 5 Screw
I have a nice CIB Duck Hunt that does not have a hangtab. Cart is 5 screw.
I looked at every sold listing on ebay and every current listing and couldn't find another one. Is non-hangtab rarer? And what is the approximate value.
Thanks!

Proving Nintendo shipped out 5 screws in non-hang tab would be tough at this point, unless someone can tell me different. Did it happen? Would it be rare or even more valuable? So many questions. :-)
The problem with any such case is that once such a game is found, it has to be documented and verified that it came out of a sealed game and was discovered as a 5-screw. But, since you opened the game, it's no longer sealed and is a CIB. Since CIBs are often pieced together, it now holds no value.
However, that would verify that some non-hang-tab could have 5-screw games in them. So long as there are no special markings on the box to verify that a 5 screw is in a box, the state of the game is just a mystery. Ergo, there is no value-bump, nor can their be, because you have to open the game to prove it. It becomes an unescapable catch-22.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't this just be a mismatched cart and box? 5 screw should imply hangtab and 3 screw should be non-hangtab, at least as far as I know.
Interesting. I always thought 5 screw existed in non Rev-A as well as HT. My rationale being the 1987(?) non Rev-A non HT box games such as Jaws or Rambo.
5 screw carts= Oct 1985-Dec 1987
Hangtab boxes= Oct 1985-mid Sept 1987
No Hangtab/No Rev-A boxes= mid Sept-Dec 1987
