That's just it Mason... if you are talking Cart only collection then yes alot of people could get there assuming they have a Stadium Events the only other super tough cart to get would be Myriad. And if you are talking about licensed only then really the only hard hard to get is SE cart. But even that I would say there are 50 of floating around to be had from time to time with 1-5 popping up for sale every year. The manual there are less than 10 of around. The box maybe 5 or 6 of these are even around and most of them are known about, granted you are right not everyone who collects is on NA, but we invite them to join! And of course sealed there is only 1 SE for sure with rumors of 2 others floating around.
sealed SE = 2 to my knowledge with a possible sealed case as an addition
Im pretty close. Only about 30 loose carts away from a complete NTSC collection. But too bad one has to be SE. Im also missing quite a few color dream games. Ill get there soon enough. Several years ago I thought it was crazy people were paying 600-800 for SE. Hindsight....
Does anybody know how many Stadium Events were Made? I was once told they were only in WoolWorth stores for less than 6 months. Can anybody confirm this?

there are so many different opinions on this subject... the most common one seems to be that they were sold only in woolworths stores in new york for a very limited time before being pulled from shelves and there were 5000 copies made. but most are said to be destroyed after the recall..
well, I guess NWC is considered licensed but I just meant that I need 4 nes games in total,
Just got a racermate in the mail yesterday!!,
and yes I dont have the 2 military snes games, maybe someday...
I dissagree. I wouldn't consider the NWC a licensed game. I believe licensed games should be only ones sold in stores or mail order. I think this cartridge was given away as a prize, not sold to the general public.
For NTSC, The only "licensed" game I am missing is SE. I still need at least 30 boxes though.
I am also missing Myriad, 3 panesians and about 15 sachens (but I do have Racermate thanks to Qixmaster).
I only have about 2 test carts, so I am missing most of those. (Do people consider them to be licensed?)
For variants I am missing 2 of the 5 screw games (one is easy to get, finding the box is a pain), 3 of the 3 screw games, 4 of the AVE variants, and probably 5 of the Color Dream variants. I dont know how many Wisdom tree variants I am missing, since you usually have to own the cart to figure it out. I think I only have 2 of the internal famicom adapter games so I am missing a ton of those variants as well.
I am also missing a few CAN carts, a ton of HK carts, and a zillion brazilians (they are NTSC after all).

Yeah, me personally I consider NWC to be unlicensed, but I figured if I said that a lot of people would shoot me down, it is made by nintendo after all, but I still keep it on my unlicensed list
No pics + No Buyer = Bullshit until I see otherwise.
hmm first time i saw that threa, but i remember trying to work a deal like back in 06 with zelda nexuz on DP and he claimed to have a CIB stadium events, claimed someone just brought it in the store and traded it in lol. i find it hard to believe hes had cib and sealed Se's in his hands before lol. who knows tho

Well, the NWC has all the Nintendo licensing and trademark info on it and that would make it a legitimate licensed title. Never commercially released? Sure. But certainly not on the same plane as pirate or a tengen cart.
nwc was licensed by nintendo... seeing that it was an actual nintendo tourney. nwc is just as licenced as smb/dh... it was just never available for sale. i 100% agree with my boy here!
I used to be one away from a "canon" complete set, but I never plan to get SE so "my set" is complete.
Although since that point, I sold a copy of Airwolf to Stan which I haven't replaced, and at some point I lost track of my copy of Metal Gear So tentatively, three short lol. Hope you enjoyed it, Stan!
dan, what is a "canon" set? im in the same boat as you... however, i lost my isolated warrior and then gave one away to someone (forgetting that i still needed it), so technically, i am down to 2 for the licensed set and still missing myriad for the unlicensed ones (not counting sachen and all of that nonsense)
Licensed: with the SE, since it appeared in Etler's list. Many people like to ignore it, though, since it's "just a variant of WCTM." Not the kind of people that reside here, mind you - most of us consider it a separate game...in the same way we consider MTIPP to be a different game from Power Punch II.
I consider SE part of a licensed set. I do not consider NWC part of the licensed set, but it is a licensed title. Every one is going to have a different opinion of SE, but it has to be part of a commercially released licensed set.
^Exactly. Most will agree that the NWC wouldn't technically be a requirement for a complete licensed set. Most people mean commercially released games when they talk about a full licensed NTSC set. The completionist type collector will disagree. I got a feeling that if their were more of than 100 or so available and they were a more affordable price, the tune would be different.
It's like Dan says. People ignore SE because it is a variation of WCTM. Some justify saying that because it is expensive and rare. The fact is though, it was released before WCTM and technically it is the game in its original form. In my opinion, the NTSC collection is not complete without it.
all very good points, and as far as NWC, I'd be willing to agree with all opinions on the game, I would like to revise my statement and say that I keep it on my Unlicensed/other list
To answer your question I believe only myself and DreamTR have complete CIB collection of NES, both licensed and unlicensed. I do consider the Piano (CIB) to be part of the set since there is a cart, box, and manual. Racermate I'm on the fence but I do have it all except the metal pole thing to connect it to the bike. Wilson (DreamTR) and I collect differently though as I have well over 1,000+ NTSC Nes with all the variations, I collect them all, he doesn't. But then he has a sh*t ton of protos and I don't. Hope this answeres your wife's question.
I'm pretty sure there's a third and there will be a fourth whenever I get tired of looking for sealed and drop the couple hundred bucks on the last few. I'm getting closer to that point all the time.
ok, so back to the original topic, in the next year and a half or so, I am very much hoping to have a complete cart only set for all original games ever made licensed unlicensed for nes, snes, vb, N64
If I can make it there, how many other people would have a full nintendo set of all 4 cartridge nintendo home consoles? cart only or complete?

mostly loose
My Friend Ray has a complete set minus the se cart I am around 100 away (also minise the SE cart
mostly loose
Damn, Ray is that close? You have to get him to post here more often, he's a cool dude.
Also, Zelda Nexus on the DP forums claimed to have (and ultimately sell) a sealed SE not too long ago. More info can be found here: http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=5&threadid=13909&highlight_key=y&keyword1=sealed stadium events

and I think
Braveheart
Jumpman
and maximus are really close?
lots of peeps havent got into snes and N64 set collecting though...
I don't think Erik really collects for other systems. I'm pretty sure he doesn't collect for SNES at all.
I hear a rumor he is collecting a Sega system.
Possibly a hand held...
Yeah I heard that as well ...

He just sold off his SMS collection, and has all but 5 Game Gear games now.
