Here's a pic of the Silent Service cart.. Randy was nice enough to send me his crappy carts.. I'm trying to amass as many of them as possible, to save them..
Here's another good one, this came from Pats, I don't remember all the numbers.. Label is fine, but you can see inside the cart because soo much plastic is missing.. It's a Mechanized Attack cart.
Next up is a very crappy looking Ghosts n' Goblins.. Similiar to Roth's Megaman..
and Finally here's a MajorLeague Baseball cart that looks crappy and doesn't want to work.. I haven't tried Weiman's on it yet, but I will soon..
Hehe. I should post some pictures of some of the stuff I have. I've got some really crummy ones. I've scrapped a couple for their circuit boards, to make other games, but I know I have some other uglies around here. Some I would never part with. Like my Super Mario Bros. 3 cartridge - first copy of that game I ever owned, purchased used from FuncoLand, and it was the last one they had. It's missing the end of the label (torn off who knows when), but I made a new one using an adhesive label (from a cassette, I think), and a Sharpie. I played the heck out of that game - and even though I now have a nicer copy, I'm not getting rid of it.
I have a copy of Castlevania that was chewed to heck by a dog. The end of the cartridge is cracked and warped, and it's a bit tough to get it into a toaster, but it works fine.
I had a copy of Bayou Billy that was owned by Shawn - and he wanted to ensure that everyone knew it, from all sides. If I were Shawn, I wouldn't have wanted to admit that I owned Bayou Billy. I junked that one for it's board though.
I have passed on buying some really crummy ones, the most memorable was a Gradius that looked like someone tried to clean the connector with acetone at one point. The entire connector end is melted and distorted, partially dissolved by the solvent. The ridges are nearly gone at that end. I would have bought it if it were cheaper, but five bucks is a bit much for Gradius, especially in such bad shape.
I like having clean cartridges, but I don't get too stressed out about it. If I'm paying market value for a game, I really want it to be in good shape, but if I'm getting it cheaply, I don't worry too much. As long as I can play it. I'm a gamer first, collector second. It'd be cool to have every cart, but that's a lofty goal, especially for someone without a lot of money. Anytime I see a game I don't already have, cheap - I'll try to pick it up. I've found a lot of gems that way - games I never would have played if it hadn't dropped into my lap, but games that I really enjoy playing.
@Paul: That Mechanized Attack cart is awesome haha!!! Also, is that Spy Hunter written in sharpie on the side of that cart in the stack of games from Frisbee?
@RetroHacker: Man, I wish you still had Shawn's Bayou Billy, I would've loved to have seen that.
Heres my entry, this is my copy of Blades of Steel- it gets quite a lot of play around here. It has a massive fissure crack in the top though...the labels in good nick though!
Miss Clawful, those are mint! lol. I could use some of those as upgrades haha.
Ryan, I can't tell whether or not you're being sarcastic, or if you just have low standards for condition. lol
I don't actually think they're mint, haha. But I would find those to be completely acceptable in my collection!
When I grade stuff I'm very picky, but most games, I just want them to work. Which is funny because most stuff I'm after I want complete... I'm in a strange category I guess. hehe.

I like riding around town with video games thrown all around my car.. It weirds people out.

... so has Wrecking Crew
BUT what I find RIDICULOUS are the "FIND OF A LIFETIME I found a loose ducktales for $2!!!!!!!" threads
Some of those finder's keepers threads aren't even the find of the hour!
I think I must agree with you on that point Bronty.
I'm always happy to find cheapo carts on my way, but there must be a very good reason for gloating out loud about it.

Heh. There's 7 of them I don't even own yet.
