I went to a flea market today, saw the most f'd up Mega Man 7 cart for sale. I was so pissed off about that. I find a rare game and it's in crap condition. Top half of the label was torn off (including end label). The rest of the label was faded to near white (I could barely make out that it was MM7). Back label was torn off. Dirty as hell. Name written on it (F*** you Zack Williams!!!! How do you do that to Mega Man?!?!). The guy wanted $15 and wouldn't budge even though the cart looked like crap. I don't really care as long as the cart works but I had my doubts about it even though SNES carts rarely break. I had to pass on that.
I know the feeling. I know where a Mega Man 7 cart is right now at a pawn shop but the label is all crapped on. Speaking of mega man and crapped on labels, has anyone ever noticed that it is tough as piss to find Mega Man x3 in mint shape or is that just me? I have had probably 10 cross my hands and have yet to see one without label damage. You would think they would be better than most X's since they were later releases but I find mint mega man x all the time.
I don't smoke - that's the way I bough all of the games - maybe in the states it's easy to find good shaped cartriges, manuals and boxes but in Europe, especialy Eastern Europe (in my case Romania) a CIB games is like a grail
later edit: maybe is hard to belive but in my contry, the NES, SNES, mega drive and many other consoles - was never released, in the "dark ages" of comunism only the diplomates kids had acces to console games - in the past 20 years the console phenomen has grown - but we are still missing Wii oficial shop chanell, PS store and Xbox live - we must LIE at the registering accounts that we are UK citizens to have acces to Xbox live accounts.
Anyway .. that's not the point of the thread - I just wanted to share a little pice of history of gaming in Romania and I need to say to you that you realy are lucky for having acces to all this wonders.
