Public blue screen!
Ok this first post is just gonna be a quick one because I'm on the road with my family. Just saw this in a highway rest stop and it reminded me of the hilarious phenomenon of public bluescreens!
I don't know why I find these so funny... Something to do with the intersection of the mundane and the absurd with a little human folly/hubris mixed in, lol!
I'll update this thread later with some classics I found before online. In the meantime, if anyone else has pics of this phenomenon that they've either taken themselves or found somewhere please add them below!

And the most famous one of all, truly the pinnacle of the artform that is the public blue screen:
I did see another public bluescreen myself about 2 weeks ago. I wish I had taken a picture of it that time, cause it was on a roadside sign, it was amazing... I'm definitely going to be taking pictures and adding them to this topic if/when I see any more!
we had a computer in a lab at school that bluescreened and stayed as a bluescreen for 3 days until I unplugged it.
The most infamous example may be when Bill Gates introduced Win 98 at COMDEX 1998 in front of a huge audience and newspaper reporters and the computer BSODed as it was loading device drivers. There's a few videos of it on youtube.
Yeah. If I recall correctly, they were connecting a USB scanner. Gates said something like "this is why it isn't released yet."

The 1999 South Park movie (Bigger, Longer, and Uncut) even had a parody/reference.
