I have to keep waiting for Brady to retire or Belichick to move on. Cause it will be pats next year and the year after that unless a juggernaut emerges in the afc
I was at the Chargers/Patriots game last week, that was just a lopsided win.
This game, I did not predict it to be this close. That roughing the passer play against Brady shouldn't have been called. But after that play, there were at least 2 plays that pass interference should have been called against KC.
They're my 2nd favorite team, and I have the yellow weathered newspaper from the Super Bowl they won to prove it. Hell I drafted Goff and Kupp back in quest's 2017 league (when neither was ever getting drafted) because it was something of a Rams homer move.
That being said, I don't really care. If it was Rams-Chiefs I'd be fine either way, and I wouldn't have been upset if the Saints won today.
I've always like the rams since the greatest show on turf. I was always them in the video games. Still can't match my love of the Steelers but I don't think anything can.
Christ, I miss the early 00s when there was at least something resembling parity (occasionally) in the major sports and college ball. Now we have the same few programs/franchises winning everything over and over again.

Oh please, you can't act shocked that most of America is a little tired of your team, especially after the black eyes. Just enjoy being the luckiest city of onlookers this side of Fargo and Tuscaloose with the endless titles that fall in your lap
I used to hate watching the patriots win all the time. But I’ve been broken. Now I love watching them win. It’s funny to me.

I guess me and my Bostonian wife get to have another Super Bowl party!
And yes like I said before I teased her about how everyone outside of New England hates the Patriots and wanted to see someone else go to the SB for a change...hee hee
KC won't make it back to the afc championship next year. It will be Baltimore.
Saints are done for a while. If I was Brees I'd retire. That no call... the games not 100% you gotta beat the script too. Two years in a row saints should be advancing one more game.
I have to keep waiting for Brady to retire or Belichick to move on. Cause it will be pats next year and the year after that unless a juggernaut emerges in the afc
or that division produces one quality foe
Excluding New England, the rest of the AFC East has the 3rd best record of all divisions since 2000. Additionally, since 2000, the Patriots have the exact same record outside the division as in it, and that is with consistently playing a first place schedule. Need a new talking point.
Hey it could be like wrestling! Tom Brady's the new Ric Flair. Every year he drops the belt to the new good guy wrestler at the big show! I can hope...

And the call that negated the Kelce fumble was pretty suspect. JC Jackson was called on two dubious plays as well. How good has he been btw? He basically manned up and shut down Travis Kelce. Another undrafted gem.
Overall, that crew called little until the 4th, when all of a sudden flags were flying everywhere. That shit is bad for the product.
Before the game I saw a stat that said the NFC crew called the least amount of penalties all year and the AFC crew called the most. If you knew that going into the games then calls made a bit more sense. I saw all kinds of missed holding calls, PI, etc in the Saints game. The one will get talked about the most, but the way they called the game it didnt surprise me. They let them play all game long.
And Pats KC was amazing. 4th quarter felt like 2 hours with all the lead changes, challenges and replays where you still couldn't tell what happened. Really wish Mahomes got a chance to answer but KC will be set for awhile. Bradys run continues to get more ridiculous and hes the best GOAT of any sport all time at this point. I cant wait for him to retire to see new guys at the top but he keeps finding ways to win no matter what is around him.
Sticking with my preseason SB pick of Rams over Pats though!
How freaking bonkers was yesterday? Not one but two overtime games?!?!?!
That Saints no-call is going to go down in history as one of the worst ever. We were just talking in this thread about how flags and I feel non-flags should be reviewable/challengeable. That was just flat out ridiculous. The Packers have had some really shitty endings the last handful of years in playoff games, but woah this one takes the cake. It would have been what a 1st & goal, with minimal time left basically game over.
The Patriots and especially Gronk really stepped it up at the end there - how impressive was that despite a gassed KC defense. Whomever was commentating that game hit the head on the nail so many times, they were like oh look at this matchup boom 1st down over and over again. Then at the end they were like - wow KC defense is gassed they should call a timeout. Nope, snap TD game over.
So sad for the Saints and Chiefs. The Chiefs had a roller coaster of emotions at the end, there were 2 or 3 different times it seemed like they locked the game down. Terminator Tom did it again, just wow it reminded me of the SB against the Falcons, him and his O-line were like machines. If they win the SB, I think Tom/Gronk/Bill very well might be done.

That was Tony Romo, who needs to be a defensive coordinator somewhere.
And Reid is a moron for not calling a timeout or two during that to give his guys a break and to stop momentum.

Still, you have to make THAT call. It took a high percentage chance, at a touchdown, away from N.O. with the game on the line. Besides it was so obvious, that’s an easy call. It’s ok to “let them play” but you can’t let the officiating take away an opportunity like that. That said, it happens nearly every game.

It looked like a play from NFL Blitz. lol
Defender just wiped out the receiver while the ball was still on the way.
They need to change the rules on reviewing plays like in the saints game.
And i think they need to change PO OT rules as well. Mahomes should at least get to touch the ball. If a team scores, the opponent should have a chance to get the ball back and score themselves to tie it up and keep going.

Never even looked at the ball. Crosshairs on the receiver. Boom baby!
During that broadcast Romo basically showed why Dak was the wrong choice.
Great game by Tony in the booth
Don't see how his ability to predict plays in the booth proves anything related to Dak. Once agin you ignore how injury prone Romo became. Starting week 2 in 2015 he received a severe injury in 3 of his last 5 games he played until retirement. Same injury against Carolina, and then a back injury against Seattle in preseason that he got injured on in a textbook tackle from behind that any other player wouldn't have been injured on. Romo made the right choice to retire and go to the booth because anywhere he played he would have got injured. He was done.

Sad to see the Saints eliminated, especially like that.
Rams should be favored in two weeks, but I'm sure it will be an excellent game. Any updates on Gurley?

um no. freak injury vs seattle. I guess you missed that extremely freak awkward tackle. Landing vertically on his neck back right into the ground. He was better than dak and still cost dallas a fortune to let go.
It has to do with Dak because Romo has 100 times more Football IQ and 100 times better at throwing the football and checking into and out of the right plays. If you couldnt see the difference in him since 2013/14 on the field you are blind.
He didnt retire because of injuries. Im sure its in his head that hes getting towards the end, but he retired because he wanted to be the starting QB for the cowboys and didnt want to play somewhere else. He came back and played vs Philly when given a chance. Of course 3 of his last 5 games he was injured. One collarbone season and the preseason game. It wasnt his fault they didnt let him come back and play. Cowboys took his job away cowardly imo to go with a flash in the pan rookie who now has shown he is not that great.
Did you not listen to his speech he gave when they demoted him? The most classy shit ever and you can tell he wanted to play so bad and was ready to go.
Anyway Im not going to debate you, because you are insufferable and never drop it. You are one of the anti romo cowboy fans and you hitched your wagon to dak early on and youve tried to back off but you cant.

I almost feel guilty at this point honestly.
Your not kidding
My son is two years old and will have been around for three Patriots Super Bowl appearances at this point. It's bananas.

Theyd all be new. They didnt have fans.

You are correct on that last sentence. It should be Brees vs Brady, but the Saints got robbed.
The saints got blatantly snubbed. It’s hard for me to watch the nfl much anymore. Stuff like that happens nearly every game.
