Tye Saints should have been in the Super Bowl. This should have been Brees vs Brady. I am glad the Patriots won as it would have stung the Saints more if the Rams won.
Yeah that is the most boring Superbowl I recall watching. At least it was close I guess? I was at a party of about 25 people and it was a lot of looking at cell phones the second half. Rams got out played and out coached.
I don't remember which time, maybe late 2nd quarter or early 3rd quarter where Rams were punting from their own 40 with about 4th and 2. They had already punted 4 or 5 times at that point, I was calling for a fake punt but they played it plain jane of course. You win championships with gutsy calls, not by playing conservative. Granted Goff didn't help them much but you really gotta dip into that playbook and get creative when the offense can't do anything.
I'd say that was the 2nd most boring Super Bowl, only to the Broncos/Seahawks one a few years back that was a blowout so early. This one at least left the feeling of "oh just one big play cmon". Then it happened, #87 caught it lol.
Brady seems mega-confident in returning but I still think there is a chance Brady/Belichick/Gronk all retire after this one.
Poor Brandin Cooks...2 Super Bowls in 2 years...no rings that has to sting a bit.
