Surprised the Browns beat the Ravens. It seemed like the Ravens were trucking along. Didn't necessarily think it would be a blowout, but I thought the Ravens would have a solid win. Nope, the Browns pulled it off!
It wasn’t on tv here in the panhandle. I saw they were up 17-? Then I saw FINAL 17-2? And laughed. I did notice phannyhills stats were pretty bad on the ticker at the bottom of the screen. Did he throw a td?
I really hope Tannehill doesn't turn into a great QB next week against the Bears. Our defense should be able to eat him for lunch but I always get worried that these are trap games.
Dude, what the hell happened to Mason Crosby. He is looking like a Vikings kicker.
OMG, I've never seen him play so poor, apparently the last kicker to do this bad of a job was almost 40 years ago in 1980 lol - this game was a trainwreck for GB. Started off giving the Lions the ball on the 1 yard line, then missed 23 field goals, Rodgers gave up 2 almost 3 fumbles.
What's crazy, is we still had a chance at the end, had I think it was Adams hauled in the catch in the red zone but it hit the ground.
Rodgers, as much as I am an obsessively crazy fan, has always had a problem of holding on to the ball for too long. Now that he's partially gimpy, he still won't stay in the pocket and fire away like they did the 2nd half of that Bears game. He is deadly with those quick throws...
The Bears with a bye week, STILL lead our division haha. I guess that would have been the case even had GB one, but still!
Well, the NFC North is not as rough as the NFC East...what a kick by Gano 63 freaking yards to take out the Giants. Then a FG by Houston against Dallas, and the Vikes avenging their playoff loss - all by 2 or 3 points each lol.

TANNYFAIL put up more points for the Bengals than he did his own team. 2 TD's given away.
As a Pats fan, I have always respected Brees' game. I hope he blows the lid off of the record books, starting tonight. Dude has been somehow under the radar while being a statistical juggernaut ever since going to New Orleans.

How is Brees under the radar? Everyone knows the number he puts up and what he is capable of putting up.

Under the radar? He is always drafted as a near the top fantasy qb. Most accurate qb in the league and he won a super bowl.
Under the radar? Lolol. You are probably the only person to think that.
I can see Brees being a little underrated to some. It was always Peyton and Brady or Rodgers and Brady in terms of QB talk the majority of the time Brees has been in the league. The guy hasn't won an MVP yet either. 5000 passing yards in a single season 5 times. 4000 yards in a season 9 consecutive seasons. I can see people making the case that he isn't talked about enough.

I think he's under the radar as far as a top ten QB ever is concerned and that's where he should be ranked if you ask me.

True that...he's considered elite but is not the QB brought up when the top dogs are talked about for some reason - that's 100% what I thought when the first comment was made about it. He's shorter than the average QB and fucking amazing, was really hoping he would snag #500 last night.
The reason he doesn't get the credit or attention he deserves is because of how mediocre the Saints have been over the last 10+ years. Save for a few playoff years, including last year, the saints have a lot of .500 and worse seasons with Brees at QB. Their defense has been tragically bad up until last season. 2012 I believe the Saints defense set the NFL record for most yards allowed all time. So naturally, Brees doesn't get talked about because the Saints have been forgettable. Rodgers is on the Packers and the Packers are a good enough to have gone to the playoffs every year except the years when Rodgers gets hurt. So people talk about Rodgers more.
If you ask me though, I believe Brees is every bit as worthy of a QB on the all time list as Rodgers. The Packers are just a better run franchise than the Saints. Keep in mind too, Rodgers has a lot of playoff failures. Take the one 2010 super bowl year away and Rodgers is labled a playoff choker which he has been since 2010. He has played badly when it mattered most.
Brees is similar, but when the Saints have lost playoff games since 2009 it has never been Drew Brees's fault. Brees has always played very well in the post season and when the Saints have lost it is because the rest of the team let him down. See last year against the Vikings. So one could make the argument that Brees is better all time than Rodgers.

I would be genuinely interested in what playoff games Rodgers has lost for the Packers or as you are calling it "choked". This isn't Romo here, or Favre - I intimately recall several of our seasons ending absolutely not because of Rodgers, but mega-confidently because of weak ass defenses and a special teams self-destruction.
Vividly there were 1 or 2 years the 49ers whooped us (weak defense), 1 or 2 years the Cardinals whooped us (again, defense), and the insanely wild ending to the Seahawks NFC championship game (special teams). That Seahawks game, we 99.9% stamped our way to Super Bowl #2 with Rodgers.
Rodgers has been clutch as shit in countless situations...
Yeah I would blame the Packers' D and Bostick more than anything. I still remember how excited I was when Bostick completely fudged the onside kick to allow Seattle to win the game. Rodgers should have at least one more SB appearance if not more with how he has played.

I was listening to the radio, and they were asking if Brees cracked the Top 5 QB’s all time list. Most people had Brady, Montana, Marino, Elway, and Manning in their top 5.
If Brees played for Dallas, we'd all be sick of him by now. The Saints aren't the same kind of market that the Cowboys, Packers, or Patriots are, thats a big reason why he's not talked about enough. Add a few inches, have him dating celebrities and super models, and throw him on the Cowboys, and he'd be as popular as Rodgers or Brady.

Edit: if you are a Redskins fan then this was a great Sunday.
he will have like 1 good game every 5 to make people think he can be good. Its starting to get to the point where the casuals are seeing it.
TANNYFAIL.

Jason Garrett should've gone for it on 4th & 1 in OT.
He is an idiot who has no business coaching this team. Should have been gone years ago. We are wasting the first solid defense we've had since 2009.

Brees makes me yern for a QB like him on the Cowboys. Haven't had that since Troy, although I think Brees is better than Troy all time.
Well, at least your team didn't pass on him. Fins got Culpepper instead. GG.

Yeah that's pretty bad. Scout team had a few too many drinks on that one.

And then you remember that Tom Brady exists and is in the middle of a Roman Reigns-style Super Bowl push that just. isn't. ending.

Green Bay is a big market?
Yes. There are fans everywhere for that team.
