He is actually my wife's Christmas present! She's wanted one for years (and I was holding out for an albino), but this one slithered his way into her heart.

Also did you get him local? I live right next to N.E.R.D which is one of the biggest ball python breeders in the world. They actually created a ton of the morphs out there. The piebald and bumblebee are my favorite. I had a bumblebee before having to give her to a friend.

Snakes go off scent and heat signatures. They "taste" the scents in the air with their tongue that flicks out and back into their mouth and into their jacobson organ that receives the information. If you happened to pet a cat, eat food like chicken, etc, anything they might like the scent of, is a good way to get you bit. We had a sink installed in our basement next to the 8 enclosures we had to clean up before feeding time.
Back in the 90's when me and my dad first started with snakes, he ate chicken wings for dinner, and didn't wash his face/mouth. Snake bit him right on the nose. Never again lol 15 years and never bit again.

I thought it was a mojave as well. It has that light coffee color. Is yours a morph?

Cinnamon ball python. Beyond that no idea.
Right on. Yeah they have cinnamon morphs (most have a bunch of tiny black spots on them but defiantly the right color tone).

You totally should. When my wife was doing research on this one she saw all the different cool kinds they have.
Although she got this one due to his personality, so it wouldn't have mattered what color he was.
