Come on Pat, you can smooth over your differences with NA
Well those differences are that some people here feel the need to take shots at him each time his name is mentioned, and he feels we as staff don't do enough to stop that.
The problem is, he's a public figure, and thus he's open to critique. It has to be hard as moderators seperating "Pat, you don't do sufficient research for your videos, which makes you come off as uninformed and elitist" and "Pat, you are a dooky mcshithead!" There is a lot of gray area between those two. You don't want to silence people's legitimate criticism of a public figurehead of retrogaming. Additionally, Pat appears to consider any criticism as an attack.
Speaking of Pat and being uninformed, he did a video about the Diablo Mobile game controversy. It was poorly received to say the least, and he has been slowly bleeding subscribers for two months now.

This thread has everything I love about NA: envious haters, the obligatory "Pat's a douche" comment (*never* a personal attack btw), totally NEUTRAL moderators taking swipes at me, and BONUS: veiled promotion of piracy of my book!

Rigggghhht. What Pat doesn't mention is the time he came on here and called us a bunch of idiots. His words. They were deleted but many members saw it. And I know for a fact the mods can verify that. Oh or the many swipes he takes at members here, including me. Knocking the Socks the Cat Kickstarter, and questioning it's legitamcy, for no reason. Or bitching about the Zelda proto. Hates resellers but goes on Pawn Stars with his NWC's trying to sell them.

I don't know what it is about him, but he comes across as very unlikeable in his online persona anyway. Either way, this is an amazing book though, and is well worth the amazing sale price! lol
Is that a full sealed shipper? This is a tough market to speculate in. I heard rumors that Tim Atwood has a couple sealed shippers and he I s just waiting for the price to peak before he gives them all away for for free.

He definitely doesn’t like when others get recognition. In his mind him having the 2 NWC’s is the pinnacle of collecting. He hated on the Zelda proto. A true one-of-one once owned by Howard Phillips. Like why not celebrate the sale and significance of it?
If he hasn’t already I expect he’ll be making a video about Dan’s sale and why it’s BS. I think we should all celebrate the sale and be happy for Dan. This a major turning point for video game collecting IMO. He’s always bringing up jealousy when I can name many people who’s collections make his look like a joke, and they are humble about it.
I have no doubt his book is entertaining. But whether it’s really him, or his persona, the way he talks down to fellow collectors...that’s enough for me to steer clear of lining his pocket. Plus, as others mentioned. Half the time he’s talking out his ass.
