Anyone ever get offered a bribe on eBay?

  • Yes I have before and even though I didn't take it and let the feedback stand the feedback lands up being removed by Ebay in the long run anyway. Sellers can appeal negative feedback and majority of the time win due to a variety of reasons. Ebay tells me that they encourage buyers and sellers to worth things out. If you can't work things out then like what Luther said a refund/return would have to be in order.

    Not in my experience, but then I've only ever stated facts (never opinions) when leaving the small number of negatives I have in 20+ years of eBaying and never once had such feedback removed, blanked out, etc.  If you're simple and to the point (Sent wrong item, denied return; Paid extra for Priority shipping, seller sent via Media Mail; etc.) I don't think you'll have any issues with negatives getting yanked by eBay, especially if you just ignore any/all bribe offers requesting that you revise your feedback.
