Legally speaking, this place is small potatoes but I've wondered about not letting people fully delete their accounts. I know that in the EU, supposedly, you're suppose to give people the option to completely wipe their profiles from sites. This is a security/privacy thing and, personally, I've actually appreciated having that option for some bigger sites I wanted to walk away from and never return too.
I know that this place seems to be a soup-to-nuts hobby made site so I can understand that trying to figure out pulling out all appropriate details for a deleted account would be a nightmare, but I wonder if it was at least considered by Dane for EU compliance. Again, nothing can really happen. Even if some form of letter was served, this is a US based company. The most he could/would have to do is ban European users, which would totally suck. But, as a software professional, I'm curious about this aspect of account management on here.
You can change your username and any personal details, edit any posts you have made.
I never understood why there couldn't be a short text when you click on banned person something like "this individual was banned because selling repros as real games"
Because then we get people commenting on and voicing their opinion

Silence the people!
Yep, just like we did to your scam wheel buddy. This aint a democracy.
Looking through longer chain of posts, I don' have to go long to find replies from banned members. Makes me wonder what do the majority of users get banned for?

On a serious note, and obviously this isn't needed for every single banned user, but it would be a pretty good idea to have a disclaimer/note for trade/scam based bans. Knowing the details behind someone getting banned for spamming or trolling or whatever isn't very important for people to know, but you could argue it's in the forum's interest to make people aware of those engaging in scams/fraud/etc. so they can avoid them offsite as well.
The hall of shame used to handle things like that, but since it's not around anymore it might be a possible alternative to look into.

But it would be nice if the option was available. Is there a legit reason why we can’t just delete it?
Yes, see post #5, made by gloves. Plus it would make reading through old threads turn into a broken incoherent mess.
I am not ban! I hate ban!

Why didn’t you post this from your main account?

4 character usernames get banned an astounding 85% of the time. Good luck buddy!
Not sure why, but that cracked me up hard.
There are guys who have tried to come back over 20 times.
Man, some people need to get a life.

What does f5 do?
Helps Lesnar keep the title.
