Maybe this is a good thread to ask this in. So here's my oldest Mario, from a crazy lot of FAO Schwarz-stickered, circle-seal games I got about 10 years ago. Sadly, the sticker itself was ripped and stuck back on the top of the box at some point, but this to me looks like a matte sticker, yes? It doesn't leave the VOID underneath.
Well let me step into my Dorito's powered time machine, er... let me go down to my basement...
Here's a nice one for you. Sealed and minty mint!
Doritos and a sticker Balloon? heaven.
I know you don't care about that though... so here's a picture for my Canadian Vin Diesel Impersonators!
I should probably take the price sticker off it, but since it's sealed and there was no shrink wrap it lends to the overall fact that it was sitting on a shelf for sale somewhere in history...
This pic is quite old (February 1986 to be exact).
I took a picture of my collection to celebrate the addition of Super Mario Bros. In 1986, which our local Kay-Bee Toys in upstate New York had finally gotten in stock.
Everything except for the two 3rd party games had the Nintendo sicker dot seals. The system is also a non-Deluxe 1985 NY set...which I stupidly traded for an Action Set a few years later.
For games I was unsure about, I would carefully open the flap on the bottom to keep them looking factory sealed. Then I could easily return the game as factory sealed. One time I even swapped out a game that I disliked for a completely different game. I was low on funds, and desperate to play new games which I saw popping up in Nintendo Power.
Seeing first hand how easily it is to do that I would be very cautious in buying any sticker dot seals.

Regardless of how careful anyone takes care of their games, you can't fool a seasoned collector/grading company. Even the infamous sawtooth games had signs of being opened....at least once and were no longer Factory Sealed.
If you have seen how careful Spoonman is with his games I'm sure that he could fool graders. Not that he ever would. His caution is valid.
It’s really not, these are actually pretty easy to spot with a couple photos of what your buying and in person there is no way it gets by a grader...
Truth. Had to let a submitter know about a resealed Chrono Trigger today, one opening is all it takes and the box die lines create a valley, creases and may even break color, but the difference is night and day.
I remember back in the day braveheart posting about an insane lot he scored with nearly all the sticker seal black box games. Thread here for those that havent seen it: http://nintendoage.com/forum/mess... .
It looks like pictures are gone. I saved a few down here is what it looked like.
Frick me. Sorry for swearing but that picture actually hurts on a tangible level.

Yes that is the matte sticker
Indeed Chris it's matte.
Pretty awesome that this was likely bought at the location where Nintendo basically debuted (or at least focused) the NES test market launch.

On the left side of the case. Am I looking at like 10 of each Black Box? Holy smokes.
Well, almost. The guy is a total poser! He only has 5 mint DK maths in there, one Big Box Gyromite, and one Stack-Up.
He could at least use his less-than-mint copies as filler like the rest of us.
(P.S. I love how the shelf is literally collapsing under its own black box weight....also, yellow hair troll variant confirmed!)
Wait, that isn't yellow, is it??
Hmm, maybe I should get this Wata graded...

If you are talking about this Troll on this one in my case, yes it is yellow.

Are the Canadian sticker seal worth anything?
There. I fixed it.

Thanks for sharing-such a cool picture
GNG is a Nov 86 release if I recall. The arcade titles like Popeey and DK jr are June 86 also. Commando is late 1986 also.

LOL!
No, we dont have much money here in Canada since the carbon tax.
Don’t worry, Notley signed up rail cars to carry another 120,000 barrels a day by 2021! lol
Trump > Trudeau

Trudeau is worse than Stephen Harper
