i know that this doesn't have the question sheet, but wow... wasn't this commanding around 1k before this auction?

and i posted this now since the auction ended 5 days ago.  so if you won it, good on you... i just want to hear what other people think.

I think it just depends on who is looking for a copy, and when. If there's only 1 guy looking for any rare game at a time, he will get a "deal", at least to him, when he finds it. If 2 or more people really want it, then look out.

That is definitely lower than the last few CIB Caltrons have gone for. I can't remember one going for less than $700 in the past couple years.

Ah how you guys have short memories.... this actually ended MORE than the last one, although the last one was a little more beat up. Luckily I still have the link since it's only a month and a half old.

I'll leave all of the expert interpretation to you guys, but I've been preaching that some of the high end will start to fall in value as the economy continues to deteriorate. People just keep shrugging these off as fluke instances, but that SE cart "sold low" and the last Myriad cart didn't even hit the seller's reserve.

Seth you make an interesting point, it seems like the only people willing to pay top dollar for this stuff are people who already have it. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I just find it interesting. You guys have been around when they were selling for $1k easily, so $700 is an absolute steal to you.



But honestly, is there anyone on NA in the market for this that doesn't already own it? MRN was the last new CIB collector to hit the scene and he's already got this. I decided against going for a whole set, so I'm not in the market for high end stuff either. Half of the forum is cart-only, so chalk them out as well. All of the "big boys" on this site already have it... so there you go, little demand for this title right now and the price of the last two reflects it...

I'm a CIB collector. I'm just not after the whole NES library, only less than a 100 titles. Action 52 is a want of mine and I'd make this a want for under the $500 mark. Thing is, I don't consider it to be in my league. I buy $25 CIB games, not $100 plus games. There are some exceptions. For instance I'd pay $100 for the right Turtles TF.

I bought it to fill parts in my collection, but this box is nicer than the one that I have already.  It was a nice suprise.

@jonas...i no longer own this and had I seen it, i would have easily dropped the dough on this ho. Just when you think all the CIB collectors have got their stuff along comes another 12 with wads of cash. The first one went a bit under the radar, but I would have likely passed based on condition alone... the second however, nicest non-sealed one I have seen and it went low.

I think the Caltron took a really steep and unnatural jump in price a while back. I feel like it was due to come back to earth a little.
