I know there’s some folks that collect rare movies here.
I do carpentry, and I flipped the breaker yesterday while one of my clients was trying to record “Street Girl” from 1929 off tv on TMC. She was not home, and I could not get in to flip the breaker back. she was actually kinda rude about letting me know today ( I won’t go into detail but she was very pretentious..) I would like to find a copy as like a, sort of, slap in the face for this woman. if anyone could help me get my hands on a VHS or preferably DVD rip I would be very very happy and willing to pay. It’s a stretch but I’m trying here. Thanks for reading!

I figured this post would get buried pretty quick and was trying to make it easier to find two or three pages back.
And about the slap-I wasn’t going to go into detail, but the way she told me about the mishap was very...... she just wanted me to feel bad about it. Like, “ it’s a very obscure movie that’s not in rotation on tmc.” So I asked the titles and actors, to which she pulled down her glasses(you know the look) and said “You wouldn’t know it, it’s from the twenties, and the actress is so obscure you’ve never heard of her, yada yada boohoooo. So I went to the tmc archive I lost power shortly after lunch. Checked the time slot and found out myself the movie. She said she missed two movies she was trying to record back to back. I found one at bestbuy for 11$ and I’m having a hard time finding street girls. so any help would be appreciated.

I am 2/2 using sites like this to buy some random dvds so it's worth a shot if you really give a shit. If it's a bust you are out the time to write an email or $20ish.

No, I didn’t “shut” it off. I blew a fuse. I needed the power. She didn’t answer the door was all.
And man, it’s not all in spite. I’m naturally trying to make the situation right. The “slap” isn’t about proving her wrong about it’s obscuity. It’s not even a slap per se. it’s more about her assuming anything about me, what I do or don’t know, can or can’t find. But mostly about getting her godamn Street girl on lazerdisk or whatever. You might want to try to get the TCM version off of that stream Mog linked to. The DVD version is a bit racist. Not sure what kind of lady you're dealing with if she would be offended or not.

I feel like the revenge aspect is showing her how quickly one can get the movie if they just try. I mean, he did say he was having trouble but if he succeeds within a reasonable amount of time, then she will likely see that this wasn't a big thing at all. She might see how silly she was being acting as if it was some once in a lifetime event. This is, of course, if he manages to succeed.
